Simeon Montgomery started his journey into the world of music quite early in life. At the tender age of six he was taught by his father to play the piano and picked up the drums around the same time. Coming into his early teenage years, Simeon lead a pretty normal childhood just like any other suburban kid. From the day to day hectic life of trying to finish his education to the struggle of staying on the basketball team and dealing with friends he seemed to get through it all by writing poems in his spare time. Of course those poems turned into songs but there was also a talent that he had not discovered just yet. The art of production caught his eye. At fourteen years old, Simeon and his older brother were given a Motif ES6 to share. Working together they developed a musical bond. The older sibling guiding the younger sibling and trying to mold his potential into success was quite a job for Eddie Jr. You see sometimes in teaching Simeon, unknowingly, he would pick up a few things as well. This boggled the mind of the eldest yet brought them closer together. Although, ten years apart, there was a mental connection these two shared. This would help Eddie Jr. put destiny into his own hands and co-produce "Going Crazy" by Natalie, which climbed the billboard charts and earned him honors amongst his peers by Sesac. This opened the eyes of the young aspiring musician and instilled in him understanding. It made him believe that if he worked hard and followed his true dream he too could possibly have his songs on the charts one day... just maybe! So he began to create musical tracks on that 61-key Motif day after day. Night after night he worked on his craft to the point where he now needed to take his music ability to the next level. His father saw the hunger in his eye so after graduating high school he then enrolled him into Mediatech Institute for Recording Arts. This is where Simeon learned the technical side of music. There he found out that it was so much more to making a song then just singing over a musical track and and pressing the big red shiny record button. The magical world of frequencies intrigued this young fellow like nothing else before. Year after year of changing sounds, style of music, and appearance has very well shaped this young man into the artist he has become today. Still residing in Houston,Tx, he is slowly creeping his foot into the door of possible mainstream success. He went on to team up with fellow Houston artist Jay O of Eightset to release the new smash single "Lemme See It" (available for download on Datpiff.com). This gave him his first feature as a secular artist. Starting from a small buzz the song then became some what of a popular tune and was surprisingly debuted first by Micheal 5000 Watts on his Sunday night radio show on 97.9 The Box in Houston, Tx. In 2013 Simeon would become apart of arguably the biggest singing contest in music history. American Idol accepted him for Season 12, deeming him top 100 males for that year. Recently just releasing his first solo project, "Before I Crossover" (available on Youtube), there is no stopping this young man. I wonder, what's next for the young prodigy?
