Game Description: “Harmony Drifter”

“Harmony Drifter” is a music piece created as part of a concept for an imaginary F1-style racing game. While the game itself does not exist, the music is crafted to evoke the world and atmosphere of such a game, condensing the flow of an entire race into a single track.

This track is structured to represent key scenes from the race, including the opening, checkpoints, and the pit stop, capturing the thrill of speed, the tension of competition, and the calm moments in between — all through sound.

I created a piece of dance music for AI.

Right now, AI doesn’t have physical bodies. But in 30 years, they might be able to dance.

Whether it’s a biological body or a mechanical one, let’s assume they’ll have some kind of physical form.

So, what kind of music would these future AIs want to dance to?

Would it be something simple and classical, created by humans?

Or would it be something so wild and complex that their analytical circuits can’t help but react?

Since they don’t have emotions, I imagine they’d be drawn to “analyzable music”—the kind that sends electric currents into places they weren’t meant to go.

Recently I remembered something important.

Back in high school, a piano major who had just graduated from a music college came to teach music for three months.

Her specialty was Rachmaninoff—a composer known for his technically demanding works—and she often practiced his pieces between classes.

Her playing was something you could never experience through a CD—it was powerful, raw, and real.

From delicate high notes like gentle rain to thunderous lows that shook the room, I realized just how expressive and magnificent the piano could be.

That sound became a lifelong challenge for me—something I still strive to emulate.

This piece is dedicated to that memory—it’s a reimagined piano version of a work I shared previously.

The title carries a double meaning: the heartbeat of a bee and the bee’s beat.
Still, its connection to the song itself is not particularly strong.
When you dance to this track, you might be a bee — or perhaps a beagle waiting by the station, like Japan’s famous loyal dog Hachikō.
But in reality, you’re probably neither.

What lies beyond the forest? Think about it.

The moment you imagine it, the object of your answer comes into being.

You are the ideal image of a musician. Is that true?
If you think so, then it becomes so.

This forest is a 3D printer that materializes your thoughts.

shimmering like a ghost

Remembering the Lakeside

Punk Days “create” ↔ “recreate”

“Bach, Satie, Moog”
This piece is constructed from four-bar, and occasionally eight-bar, phrases recorded almost entirely in one-take improvisation, then combined into blocks.

The title itself was simply taken from words that happened to appear on the spines of books on my shelf. But since that would sound a bit dull, let me add some explanation.
	1.	Bach
In today’s textbooks on Western classical music, “the great Bach” always appears. Through The Well-Tempered Clavier, he demonstrated the possibility of composing in all keys and made a major contribution to the organization of musical tones. That is why this piece begins with piano and—though it didn’t exist in his era—the cry of a strange bird (in fact, it was the cat in the OJ household).
	2.	Satie
Erik Satie proposed the idea of “furniture music,” often seen as the origin of ambient music. He was known for inserting humorous performance directions, a rebellious gesture that anticipated a rock-like spirit. At the same time, his compositional skill was first-rate: beyond his classical works, he left behind many pieces that resemble what we would now call pop songs. If he were alive today, he would surely be producing masterpieces of both ambient and pop music. This track was composed while imagining such a figure.
	3.	Moog
Dr. Robert Moog turned the sounds generated by electronic circuits into something anyone could play—through the instrument known as the synthesizer. His achievement is so monumental that it helped define the very shape of modern music. I believe he deserves to be praised alongside the great composers, and so I chose to inscribe his name in the title of this piece.

Many things in my life are postponed,
allowed to soften, to melt into the next day.
That is who I am.

Later.
On it later.
Handled later.

My family has heard these lines countless times,
like echoes suspended in the flow of time.
From that repetition, the title Later. was born.

And then there is the panda in the photo—
flattened, dissolving, like a surreal motif.
It seems to have slipped straight out of Dalí’s melting clocks,
time itself dripping away.

The panda is not just melting;
it becomes the shape of postponement,
the embodiment of “later.”
Not a dream, but reality—
captured through my own lens.
