Identity is the key to being an artist. Simón sets himself apart by telling complex stories through unique compositions and sounds. His South American roots add a distinct Cuban and Chilean flavour to his sound; “Growing up, I was around a lot of salsa and afro Cuban music so it naturally finds its way into my production”. Simón’s much anticipated EP has been released on 14th December 2012 containing more kick than most can handle.

In 1999 Simón found him self rummaging through old CD software and stumbled upon a sequencer called Orion. ‘I doubt anyone knows or has heard of it before’. He immediately became addicted to producing and was heavily influenced by the music of his time ranging from trance to techno. He was unaware at the time that this was the starting point of his career.

In 2004 he joined forces with “J MUSS” creating Stereo Hill. Stereo Hill played live sets using MIDI to control their production software which provided a custom, unique show that the duo became know for. The pair released a track under the Generation label in 2008 called "Things aren’t always fair". After great success amongst their Melbourne fans, Stereo Hill gained residency at many Melbourne venues and secured a rising spot on Beatport.

In December 2010 Simón began to release his own music under the Colombian based label Uranobeat recordings. In his interview he mentioned ‘I wanted to break away and develop my own style, I wanted to move away from the genre I was playing and follow my passion for house and techno’. After releasing ‘Pequeña’, Simón took a break from releasing and focussed on refining his new sound.

In 2011 Suckmusic signed and released ‘Open your eyes’ giving him presence amongst Tech-house artists and making way to develop his upcoming EP ‘Work that’. The feature track ‘Work that’ is a good example of what to expect from Simón in his future releases…2013 is going to be a big year for Simón.
