Gorgeous soundscape. So much going on, so many details, yet so very calm!

Ninety minutes before sunrise. A magical time, still pretty dark, when everything is beginning to stir including: curlew, snipe, sedge warblers, reed bunting, tawny owl, cuckoo, redshank, shoveler...and distant peacocks!

I've been recording wildlife sounds since 1968. Member of Wildlife Sound Recording Society since 1975, and currently their Sound Magazine Editor. Special interest in vocabulary recording. I rarely use any studio processing, believing that attention to good fieldcraft should render this unnecessary.
