Robert Connely Farr is a songwriter from Bolton, Mississippi - hometown of musical legends Charley Patton & the Mississippi Sheiks. Farr is a friend & protege of Jimmy Duck Holmes, one of the original Bentonia bluesmen who learned directly from Henry Stuckey (who also taught Skip James). 

His 2019 “Dirty South Blues” & was released to immediate critical acclaim. Greg Vandy at KEXP named it as one of their top albums of the year & #DirtySouthBlues  earned Farr nominations for both Songwriter of the Year & New Artist of the Year by Canada’s prestigious Maple Blues Awards. Farr’s music has been used on Netflix (Snowpiercer), SYFY (Resident Alien) & TNT . He currently resides in East Vancouver Canada.

this is a medieval-folk song inspired on the game of thrones universe, telling the woeful tale of the rose of highgarden, our queen of hearts - margaery tyrell; i did my best both with the lyrics and the chord progression to paint a vivid image of her course throughout the series, using deliberate references to help the listener immerse themselves in the story-telling, whilst still keeping the language it semi-archaic to fit the universe it is set in. enjoy :))
