Uploading turbo-charged wubs with molten glass melodies, the debut EP of Giovanni Bonelli (aka @notteinfinita) is a welcomed update for UK style broken-techno conventions. Booting-up with its title track, the record quadrisects the fabric of digital music, each cut a sonic reprogramming of its predecessor. ‘Slippery Tuff’ references off-kilter club, while on the flip, ‘Ecstatic Dub (Roller Mix)’ climaxes in an ultra-sensory faux-organic whorl. Unplugging the whole thang, ‘Oxygen’ manipulates post-dubstep textures, into a data-roused jungle tunnel.

Ambient Buddhism

Ambient music, as proposed by Brian Eno, is defined as "music that blends into the surrounding environment." It also has the ambiguity of music that is interesting but negligible. I believe this is similar to the Buddhist concept of ``awareness,'' which expands our consciousness and encourages us to become more deeply aware of our surroundings.
Buddhist thought places emphasis on letting go of personal ego and attachment, and ambient music also aims to blend into the background without attracting too much attention from the listener. This shows that both share an attitude of not pushing the ego or personal presence to the forefront.
Ambient music also provides the listener with a meditative experience. This has similarities with Buddhist meditation practices, indicating that both can function as a means of promoting inner calm and awareness.
I resonate with Buddhist thought in terms of harmony with the environment, transcending the ego, and expanding consciousness, and release music as "Buddhism that blends into the surrounding environment" as "Ambient Buddhism."

Simon Littauer is an electronic musician, producer, and composer, based in Copenhagen. His artistry revolves around electronic music performance, whether it be live concerts on modular synthesizers, interactive sound installations, and the development of new hard- and software instruments for these purposes.

Simon Littauer’s approach to music is both very melodic and almost scientific at the same time. His natural curiosity for digging deep and exploring everything about a specific musical element shines through his work. He balances the controlled with the improvised and randomized, which beautifully unfolds through his longtime work with modular synthesizers and a broad scope of rhythmical genres.
