"During extended lockdowns and long periods of uncertainty in the world my creativity took a nose dive. Whilst I wasn't playing any music or recording any mixes I amassed a few HUGE playlists in Spotify, digging deep and unearthing some incredible music, both new and old. This set was my first opportunity to share some of the gems I had found on the hunt... 

Played to a wonderful crowd on the Sunday evening at Esoteric Festival in regional Victoria, the chance to play on the Chill Island's maiden voyage was a treat that I absolutely loved... enjoy".

"So it seems with the passing of time the world seems to be moving a lot faster. It's definitely what has contributed to me leaning into my love of downtempo beats and blissed out melody. They soothe my weary head as I plow through endless piles of work and help provide the soundtrack to my down time. Translating this passion to the dance floor is something that I love to do and I am honoured to have had the chance at Esoteric's chill island.

This mix covers some ambient, electronica, downtempo, trip hop and even some hip hop. The breathe. family took over the stage for four hours with J-Slyde on immediately after me. I hope you enjoy the set as much as I did compiling it <3"

Here is the archive of the July 20th, 2014 episode of Time To Track on Bondi Beach Radio! The first hour of the show features a guest mix of "electronic explorations" from Melbourne DJ Simon Murphy, which is the premiere of Part 1 of a two part mix for the Mahala Facebook/Soundcloud Group. The second hour is an experimental techno live set from Sydney producer/promoter Gareth Psaltis. The final portion of the show features me mixing up some new dubstep and techno from the likes of Youngsta, Voiski and Kirk Degiorgio.

Esoteric Festival is a truly magical event. I love making the annual pilgrimage knowing that I will have the chance to reconnect with friends, make new connections, and bask in the incredibly crafted festival space with an inspiring soundtrack. 

This is the live recording of my set at Chill Island on a sunny Sunday afternoon and takes a slightly different path than my previous chill sets. 

In addition to a whole stack of downtempo electronica, this year I’ve listened to a bunch of garage, drum & bass, and a huge amount of new artists releasing rave influenced tunes across genres. These diverse sounds have inspired and found their way into my chill set this year and I’m stoked with the result.

This set moves through downtempo and broken beats with some garage and rave influences, offset by some dreamy ambient and spoken word. Enjoy the journey through sounds both old and new…

The Richmond Yard is a post-apocalyptic themed pop-up trailer park with amazing decor, artworks, food, drinks and a sound track of ambient-electronica setting the mood.

This is the set I played at sunset with some bleak melancholic soundscapes alongside some of my all time favourite downtempo tunes. It was a real treat to get a chance to play these <3

'Dusty Souls' is my daydream about summer sunshine and dancing in the dust with like minded souls. The mix covers a lot of ground; from electronica and deep house, through to some tougher techno and progressive.

Some background...

A couple of years back I recorded a mix called 'Have no Fear'. The title came from a Dali quote referring to the pursuit of perfection. A reminder as such that we are often our own biggest critic. Recorded at a time when there was a lot going on in my life, I wanted to remind myself what inspired me musically and I still love that mix to this day.

This mix wasn't intended as a Part 2 to that mix but it has turned out that way as I have been reminded of that process at each step. 

Much like 'Have no Fear', 'Dusty Souls' is a collection of tunes that have captured my attention and imagination, recorded to share with those who care to listen.

"Above all else, what I love about DJing is the endless hunt for incredible and unique music that I can share with others. I'm an introvert by nature, I don't really like being in crowds and I tend to overanalyse everything. What brings me peace is the music itself. 

I've spent more than half of my life listening to all types of electronic music. It's a huge part of my life and through the love of music I've met most of my best friends and my beautiful dance floor warrior princess (now my wife). 

I love techno. I always have and always will. This however is only one piece of the puzzle. Outside of DJing clubs and festivals you'll find me listening to a huge range of sounds and styles. An unquenchable thirst for sonic brilliance. 

One style in particular is that which blurs the lines between electronica, modern classical, ambient and downtempo. Music that I can listen to through headphones to turn the volume on the rest of the world down. My own microcosmos in a fast-paced world.

Rainbow Serpent Festival is one of my favourite places on earth. It revives me each year mentally and musically. Having the opportunity to contribute music alongside my heroes is a huge honour and one I do not take lightly. 

This set took months to compile and saw me dive deep into the archives for tunes that have inspired me over the past two decades. It's a representation of all that I love about music.

With this set and the time it was played, I wanted people to wake up to warm ambient and soft keys, before building to glitchy electronica and broken beats that would revitalise sore heads. As the morning sun bathed the festival grounds, smiling faces filled the dance floor.

"After playing my debut chill set on the magical Chill Stage in 2018 I was thrilled to be invited back this year. Playing straight after my long time collaborator and good friend J-Slyde, whose set just after sunrise meandered through warm blissed out beats and trip-hop, I wanted to incorporate some of my favourite modern classical, some downtempo beats and even some warm melodic dubby beats. Some old tunes, some new, some familiar, some obscure, all inspiring to me at some point in my life. The smiling faces on the dance floor filled me with joy as I played this set to help kick off what was a brilliant Saturday of music at Rainbow Serpent. Enjoy xx"
