Just before i met and dated Sue Holloway,i met a fascinating woman Called Tracey,who was just about to get married for the 2nd time. We were kindred spirit and she said if shed met me a few months earlier,we wouldve been together. We spoke and text for a while after, then it had to stop,obviously. After 5 years we have just begun speaking again,as we are now both single again. I sent her this song back then. Ive never told anyone this story before now! We are now in touch again,have met up , tho now she has returned to a man she was with 12 years ago. We only met up again the once,and have ceased communication..bah!

Many of the songs on the 'High heels,low morals' album were written about my brief affair with singer Samantha Cooper, which happened just before or even during our time in the band. It somehow worked,and never caused any problems, nor was it seemingly sussed out at the time! It was my 'Rhumors' moment!

I wrote this song in 1998 after a breakup or many, and it simply makes a statement, rather cynically, that that the next one will do the same..and it did. From the 1999 album Hot on your heels by my band Stilettos. I produced and recorded it all too.

Whilst i pretty much loathe Cat's vocal here, despite its perfect tuning and height, it just had no emotion of my lyric which is even more relevant today.
