Guild Wars 2 is a fantasy MMORPG which I enjoy playing with friends and family.  One of my favorite special events in-game is the Super Adventure Box, an extensive retro-style game-within-a-game that started as an epic April Fool's joke.  

The original version of this track, by Maclaine Diemer, (which you can listen to here:  https://soundcloud.com/maclaine/hillbilly-hoedown) obviously had a bluegrass/country inspiration, so I learned everything I could about the style in a short time and tried to recreate the sound of a bluegrass band using virtual instruments on my computer, and then extended the music by reharmonizing the original, adding more solos, and composing a new section.  Hope you enjoy!
