Oh Pia is a song that defies genres. Combining Reggae, Folk Rock, Jazz and more, it is a one of a kind experience. Every musician has a place of choice. And Simon Henley, the singer songwriter and rhythm guitar player, sends a moving ode to Pia. Pia was his girlfriend in a far away land. This official version was made by music producer Stéphane Rancourt.

Sound, noise, ambience, silence… That is what has always intrigued me. Now I get a real kick out of creating environments with these audible tools. I connect with the authentic part of myself and let it all flow. 

I love to connect and exchange with like minded artists. The common goal here is to serve the song and the project, not the ego. And in the end if I can have people go through great emotions. Make them think a bit, reflect and maybe even grow. My job is done.  

Even if you would not be reading this. I would still be busy feeding from the constant flow of my heart and unconscious mind. It is a way of life. Not a way of making a buck.

Mon aventure musicale a débuté avec une passion pour les sons. La musique, le bruit et tout ce qui y en est associé m’ont toujours intrigué. J’ai découvert rapidement que je pouvais créer avec tout ce que j’avais sous la main. Dans ma jeunesse j’ai été exposé à plusieurs styles de musique. Mais pour moi c’était avant tout pour l’expression personnelle. Un jour on a mis une guitare classique dans les mains. Je devais avoir douze ans. Plus tard j’ai finalement demandé à ma mère de m’acheter la guitare et de prendre des leçons. De ce fait, mon niveau d’expression personnelle a pris de l’expansion. Depuis ce temps j’ai expérimenté plusieurs types de musiques et de cultures. Puisque je m’associe avec joie à des musiciens d’ici et d’ailleurs.
