"Luise, a dj and producer from Hanover/Germany has been in love with music since childhood. She started producing music with Ableton Live and play DJ sets with vinyl 10 years ago. Her Music is a mixture of warm, analog and minimalistic, but melodic sounds. Since 2021 Luise has been part of the Flinta network called Qenem.
I think gender equality in club culture is very important. I had numerous bad experiences with partys and sexism. Experiences that made me decide to do something about it, because I know so many Flinta with similar experiences. The music industry and the club scene is marked by patriarchal structures.
When I started making music, it was quite hard to establish contacts. Almost no one takes a young woman seriously, who wants to start making music. It was really upsetting. But music is my greatest passion, that's why those circumstances couldn't stop me from doing it.
I‘m really happy about queerfeminist collectives and networks like Zena and Qenem. In my opinion its time to support each other and change the club culture."

We got to know @luise-gryc as Bookwood invited her to one of the famous parties at Kulterhafen, Hannover in Summer 2022. When we first listened to her sets, we basically had to listen and dance the whole day. And we can't wait to dance, again. This is a vinyl only set. Enjoy.
