Evil Nine are an English DJ/Producer duo comprising of members Tom Beaufoy and Patrick Pardy. Gaining recognition after signing to Adam Freelands label Marine Parade in the early 2000's their unique sound gathered a high following and had a very influential effect in the early Nuskool Breaks scene as well as early influences on the later Tech Funk genre.

This mix is from 2004 was made for Australia's Triple J Radio and it's Saturday night weekly show Mix Up.

Stanton Warriors- Live @ Glastonbury 2004 (26.06.04)

Elite Force aka Simon Shackleton has had an extensive career spanning over 20 years. Starting off as a musician and being a band member with Thom Yorke before moving onto his own outfit called Lunatic Calm which had quite a successful career and a few number one tunes including "Rollercoaster". Simon has also worked with a bunch of top acts, remixed, wrote movie soundtracks, toured and was one to watch in the Nuskool Breaks scene. He then developed the Tech Funk genre in the late 2000's included with such artists as Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes to name a few. Nowadays Simon plays marathon 6 hour LIVE sets in his "One Series" and has moved into the world of professional photography.

As part of our up coming 'Ten' project (which celebrates ten years of MC Shureshock and I having worked together) we are digging through the digital crates to find a bunch of old mixes we have done. This first one is a personal fave of mine. It's a mix I did for a magazine called 'Remix' in 2000 and was one of the first 'official' mixes I ever did. It may be from 2000, and it may now be 10 years old, but damn the beats still sound fresh! Oh and this was pre-Ableton days! i.e. it was done by mixing records together on two Technics turntables and a mixer (via pasting a hundred million takes together mind you!).
