3D Presents: Craze, DJ Icey, AK1200, Reid Speed, Ken Lazee\Slant, and Bill & Ed

Dan @djschmultz McHugh was part of our @fantastic-voyage-music crew. As I came into the cohort late, I only got to know him briefly before he was taken away from us by cancer. He inspired us with his creativity, talent, positivity, silliness, and courage. Many producers got over our fear of using our own voices in our tracks because of him. This just released compilation features a slew of amazing work across genres that speak to how he inspired us in different ways.

For my track, "Dup", it was drawing on the silliness. I was in a creative rut when I decided I had had enough of our dog Appa's squeaky pig sounds. So I took it, sampled it, and made it a central piece of this track. I had a stupid grin the entire time I was making the track.

I think it's fitting that this also marks my first release on Spotify and Beatport. Go check out the whole compilation. There's a LOT of good stuff there.

All proceeds go to City of Hope cancer research!

Evolving from the fabric of the quintessential British council estate Simon has clawed his way across the globe to open Shrine Studios, an A list commercial production recording studio in the entertainment capital of the world...Las Vegas! In the early 90s Simon cut his teeth in the UK Rave scene and pirate radio before moving stateside to smash the global dance music scene for the next 3 decades. Raised through the explosion of UK rave culture it’s no surprise his hi octane intoxicating sets have lit dance-floors on fire across the world. Simon was instrumental in the introduction of the harder styles of electronic dance music to North America whilst carving out his own niche genre that was coined “Breaks and Bass” which opened the doors with monster global brands such as Warner, Sony, Decadance, Resist, Slammin’ Vinyl, Hardcore Heaven, Ministry of Sound, Bonkers, React and many more. Today Simon is in full time production working with a wide range of iconic artists including KRS-One, Amy Grant, Kathy Brown, Luciano and The Foundry whilst also engineering full time for the legendary Grammy award winning dance music artist Lee Dagger from the iconic Bimbo Jones. Lee and Simon recently partnered on a new collaborative project titled "Future Collective" that delivers a power house 4 to the floor sonic that has exploded right out of the gate with electric DJ sets and an incredible live show that delivers a riveting sonic journey of live instrumentation through the most iconic eras of dance music creating an EPIC dance floor atmosphere!
