This DJ-Set is an attempt to create an „acoustic vivarium“ via Traktor, tapedeck, OP-1, loopstation.
The lifeforms in this imitated sonorous scenery acting swarmlike or separatly, moving unstable and enunciate with each other and sometimes by animalesque or humanesque mimed voices to the world outside of this synthetic habitat.

@sookwav - When The Sunlight Turns The Leaves Golden [FEEL008]

This mix is inspired by Van Gogh's letters to Theo during his time in Arles. Arles is such an inspiring place for me; it has truly become my favorite spot. While I was there, I read through his letters and could really feel his mix of intense creativity, personal struggles, and deep emotional highs and lows.

With this mix, I wanted to capture the hope and excitement he felt when he first arrived, inspired by the region's vibrant colors, which you can see reflected in his vivid paintings. Following his footsteps and emotions in Arles through music was incredibly inspiring.

I've woven pop, ambient, experimental, and organic elements with nature's own melodies to create a soothing and healing experience. It's the kind of music I'd play on a warm afternoon, when the sunlight turns the leaves golden.

Composer, improviser, and Buchla Music Easel master Charles Cohen returns to Morphine with a suite of new material. In keeping with the timbre spectrum of his semi-modular system, Brother I Prove You Wrong is built around pointillist analog tones—Cohen's cosmic "beeps and boops"—that swarm and scatter in mesmeric patterns across four sides. Moving through surrealistic textural overlays and industrial miasma, the album's nine tracks reveal a more introspective and personal side of the artist, following from a retrospective LP trilogy released via Morphine in 2013. Those assembled works, dating back to the late '70s, quickly became essential listening and brought Cohen—at the time largely unknown outside Philadelphia's experimental circuit—to critical renown. 

Brother I Prove You Wrong was recorded in Berlin in September 2014 using the Buchla Music Easel, with production help and support from Rabih Beaini. Mastered by Neel and curated and designed by TankBoys; cover art by Nathalie du Pasquier.

After hearing his sensational debut album Wandelaar I am delighted to feature Dutch artist Haron. The inspiration for his Métron mix was the transition of late nights as they shift into early mornings. Flicking between deeply ethereal, trippy cuts to beautifully sparse, mellow textures, TV music and field recordings, it's a fascinating plunge into the infinite possibilities of ambient sound. And frankly, with 35 tracks across 75 minutes, it's just a weird, wonderful and visceral journey.
