In a sense, who we want to be, who we are and who we become, are a result of the choices we make. In essence, we are the sum total of our choices. 

This song is a journey into this experience, this situation of choice, of choosing, and the pain that arises when we choose against ourselves. But there is also hope: the knowledge that the choice hurts us and that from hurt, comes growth. One step before we choose another :)
