I'd like to start this adventure from where I come from.
The 94dB 1kHz sine wave is the starting point of any noise survey and it is used to calibrate a sound level meter and used as a reference to precisely measure  noise levels.
As much as calibration is necessary, are the noise levels in dB a good reference to understand how sound is perceived and what is the effect on people?

It’s time to change the way we design our urban landscape and built environment. To develop sustainably, maintaining quality of life, we need to design for Sound, not just mitigate to reduce noise as decibel.

In this respect this channel will explore sound as part of our everyday lives. 
I hope it will bring us beyond the decibel and towards a more holistic approach where sound is not only considered and evaluated for its physical characteristics but ultimately in relation to people's needs.
