We proudly present to you our new vinyl release, Subactive strikes with their first 12” on our imprint. After the first 7” release with the legendary Mikey Murka, Subactive now teams up with El Fata and Danny Dread on the vocals and a mad Dub Version from Naram and Art out of Jahtari and Colonel Mustard.

Side A features El Fata on a relick of the Run Run Riddim, a modern digital style with fat basslines and melodic progression chords that will shake up the dancefloor. The dub version comes in a very different style and influenced by the German down-tempo dub culture.

On the B side we can find the veteran Danny Dread with his conscious lyrics and a dub version by Naram which is heavily influenced by Asian and Arabic sounds. This is a limited edition of 500 copies with our first full print sleeve. Both riddims will be found as a free download with all the orders through our online shops.

Dj GrassMat originaire de Mons en Belgique, tourne avec ses vinyles depuis 2005.
Puisant ses racines dans le Reggae-Roots avec une culture musicale diverse, il réalise un Dj set aux sélections très variées et dynamiques passant par les classiques Reggae, Ragga, Hip-Hop,Soul, Funk...
Cet été il a enflammé la Dance club du Festival Couleur Café en tant que Dj Wanted... il est également le grand gagnant du concours de Vi.be et a conquis la main stage de l'Antwerp Rail Battle 2012.
Spécialiste des afterparties, il est résident au Café-Concert le Bateau Ivre (Mons) et on le retrouve aussi bien dans des établissements bruxellois comme le Potemkine, Madame Moustache... que dans des festivals ou salles de concerts en tous genres (Magasin4, Atelier210, Festival de Dour feat Raggaravane, ...).

Vivre un spectacle de Simon, c’est comme parcourir un album de photos de famille avec nostalgie, en évoquant les souvenirs d’antan, en passant des éclats de rire aux larmes en un instant. Le temps s’arrête pour contempler les stades de la vie, constater le monde, ses failles et ses vertus. Simon livre raconte les joies, les peines, les vies que l’on mène et ça transpire l’espoir. Oscillant entre chanson française, reggae et hip-hop, l’énergie s’articule autour des textes en français et vous fait voyager entre piano-voix et dub atmosphériques. Les influences sont multiples et s’étendent de Bernard Lavilliers à Fat Freddy’s Drop.
