Combining thunderous bass and gliding synths, ‘Shine’ takes listeners on an epic journey across breaks and peaks. Moving into 'Get Down’, tribal percussion is met with driving sounds and sporadic vocals in this indie dance piece. With Vintage & Morelli's debut artist album just around the corner, it's our great privilege to present the standout first single, "Daydream". Premiered recently on Above & Beyond's "Group Therapy" radio show, this breathtaking track not only best represents the Serbian talent's dynamic and versatile sound, but also is truly one of his finest compositions to date.

A patient, heavily filtered groove and piano-based lead set a deep and mysterious tone in the early going. The sensual soundscape is enhanced by haunting vocal accents, as well as resonant bass layers (an artist signature). As the opening build begins to wind back down, gorgeous piano lines begin to emerge, setting the stage for an awe-inspiring breakdown. Specifically, in the break, the emotive piano theme is joined by a plaintive "Who are you" vocal refrain. Energetic, trance-influenced synths follow, creating an aura of almost overwhelming suspense. Finally, the deep rhythm drops back into the mix, which crescendoes to absolutely glorious effect.

The incomparable Shingo Nakamura begins his eighth year as a contributor to our imprint with the one and only remix of "Daydream". Fans of the Japanese virtuoso are already well aware that he is capable of writing superlative music in a wide variety of genres; given the deeper vibes in the original mix, he has chosen to inject a shot of adrenaline into his interpretation. Side-chained pads and electrifying chords establish the peak-hour sound early. In the breakdown, the gorgeous piano motif from the original mix is solo'd and then later joined, once again, by layered, goosebumps-inducing pads and chords. The drop to follow is absolutely thrilling -- easily one of the most emotive, intelligent, and anthemic arrangements of Shingo's storied career.

The first song I wrote for this album, “The Gardens” was composed after spending a rainy day in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens with friends in mid-2016. I was a senior at Duke University at the time. “The Gardens” (as they are commonly called on campus) are usually packed with students and visitors, but we had most of the 55 acres of beauty to ourselves; the rain seemed to drive everyone else away. Look up some pictures and imagine it in a warm downpour—inspiring!

I debuted this track at the LA Convention Center on the first stop of Above & Beyond’s Common Ground tour.

Following his much-loved remixes of Maribou State and ODESZA released on Anjunadeep in 2015, label favourite Daniel Goldstein aka Lane 8 returns with two stellar reworks of George FitzGerald’s 2017 anthem ‘Burns’.

Lane 8’s ‘Morning Mix’ is an ode to the lush atmosphere of the original, a highlight from George’s sophomore album ‘All That Must Be’ released earlier this year on Domino. With the original’s mesmerising vocal chops front and centre, Goldstein blends tranquil piano arpeggios and stuttering synth stabs to create a pensive soundscape imbued with melancholy.

The ‘Club Mix’ is a showcase of Lane 8’s trademark sound. Detuned chords, void-like atmospheres, and a thumping four-to-the-floor kick drum combine to create a fierce peak-time soundtrack.

Finnish DJ and producer Otto Yliperttula (aka Yotto) caught our imaginations alight with his stellar debut album ‘Hyperfall’ last September, charting as a No. 1 Dance/Electronic album on Billboard and earning support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Eric Prydz, and many other heavyweights in the dance world. The next chapter sees an acclaimed host of producers add their own sound to the ‘Hyperfall’ story.

‘Hear Me Out’ receives separate remixes from Mobilee Records head Anja Schneider and Berlin producer Kevin de Vries to open proceedings. Schneider incorporates the sublime vocals of Laudic to full effect over a driving bass groove, whilst De Vries’s adapts the original’s bright melodies to his characteristic techno style.

German artists Monkey Safari and Ruede Hagelstein build on Yotto’s original brooding arrangement for ‘Turn It Around’ in contrasting fashions; Monkey Safari adding a trademark sunshine sheen of bubbly arpeggios, while Ruede Hagelstein’s ‘Rise Again’ remix places mechanised vocoders atop a menacing bassline.

‘Kantsu’ receives a minimal reinterpretation from Parisian electro artist Chloé, while SØNIN captures the understated euphoria of ‘The One You Left Behind’ through an inventive club re-work.
