Here´s our 18th Podcast mixed by...&#13;
...Florian Paetzold, born in 1986 in the small town of Halberstadt in Germany. He was enthusiastic about music from an early age; at 14 years old he began playing the guitar.&#13;
&#13;
This enthusiasm for music developed slowly in the direction of electronic dance music. In 2000 Florian attended some of his first "Techno"-Parties. The positive energy of the partygoers, the extravagant music and with it that rhythmical, driving beat, captured Florian's imagination.&#13;
&#13;
Shortly thereafter in 2002, Florian bought himself his first records along with the necessary gear, and with all his focus, started to throw down some tracks under the name "P.C.I".&#13;
In 2004 he discovered his passion for the software program Propellerhead Reason and began to produce Hip Hop and Electro / House.&#13;
&#13;
More projects followed, such as in 2008: "The Masked Nerdz" in which he produced Electro Rave along with three other lads from Bielefeld. And then in 2012: "Noize4All" which he did with a friend from Erfurt.&#13;
&#13;
Then on the 11th November 2012, his current project was born under the name: Florian Paetzold! He is personally very proud of this project and is putting his full love of music into it.&#13;
&#13;
His remix of "Sunday Girl - Where Is My Mind" was voted among the Top 100 Edits in the trndmusik.de charts for 2012!&#13;
&#13;
2013 will be yet another year full of new music. There are releases planned, as wells as edits and remixes!&#13;

Due to our good friends from Firespace, we had the great opportunity to contribute a little bit of our music to the infamous Fusion Festival - in our opinion, one of the most beautiful festivals in the world regarding electronic music.
Despite we had - like the year before - a little bit of rain during our floor times, it was one of the most intense experiences we made, since our start as a team in 2007.

The journey was opened from 5am to 7am by our most famous member Martin Anacker, who played a really groovy "vinyl only" set connecting the good old times with brand-new vibes. After a rain induced pause, Niemand & Keiner slowed down the pace a lot. Between 110 and 113 BPM their travel from dark to light was devoted to the dancers and chillers, who needed a little bit of rest from the hammering Tanzwüste and the other, harder floors. Accompanied by the beautiful sun, they emptied their treasure box 5 hours in a row (17°° to 22°°). Here are the first two hours of their journey. Their new studio mix was uploaded just a month ago, so have a look at their soundcloud, if you like, what you heard - but careful: It´s faster - 118 BPM and running!

Out Yer Box, the leftfield sister label to Jack Said What, has unearthed a major new talent in Corserine. The prolific Scottish producer is about to unleash his debut album, which is stuffed full of melancholic dream-pop, neon nu-disco, future-retro soundscapes and sultry shoegaze. It’s the soundtrack to a science fiction film that hasn’t been made. Yet.

Indeed, Corserine main man Caro Tyle cites 1980s sci-fi films as a core thematic and sonic inspiration. “In those films, there’s always a nightclub scene set in the not-too-distant futuristic dystopia,” he says. “I’m basically making the music playing in those scenes.”

The album starts impeccably with the neon funk of debut single ‘I Know You Want Me Baby’, its dismembered pleading vox offsetting futurist synth work and little hardcore percussion fills. ‘Drunk Robot Cat’ could appear in Drive or JG Ballard’s Crash movie, while tranquil lullaby ‘As Gabriel Sleeps’ evokes an otherworldly 80s MOR hit brought right up to date. 

The album continues its journey through the woozy hip-pop of ‘Narrow End’, while ‘My Love Temptation’, ‘U Got Funk’ and ‘Long Way Home’ all amble along like long-lost Daft Punk funk pieces before winging prog guitar towards the end takes each to another level. ‘Been Drowning’ is like Underworld ‘doing’ Supertramp, while the title track ‘Better Than Paradise’ shimmers with effortless cool.

Corserine were originally a group of childhood friends from central Scotland and California, although its now the singular vision of Caro Tyle. Growing up in Scotland in the 1980s, he was surrounded by a vibrant blend of musical genres and pop culture. While his mother and sister were classically trained pianists, Caro first honed his skills as a guitarist in various rock and punk bands before expanding his influences to include Japanese city pop and rare groove.

In the same ballpark as Barry Can’t Swim, Jamie xx and new Ed Banger signings Myd, and with more than a hint of French Touch contained within, Corserine’s debut album straddles the indie/dance divide and demands to be heard by all discerning new music fans everywhere.
