After one year collaboration with the almost last standing Recordshop "Freezone" in Leipzig, the KANN RSD series is going to be a musical and physical hommage to vinyl and this 15 years existing place. 
While trying not to fall into the trap of being narrow minded wax fanatics, neverless the 2nd edition comes again as a limited vinyl only. Check out 3 beauties courtesy of Lake People, Julian Neumann and Map.ache, these were put into a suitable frame designed by artist and good Friend Martin Lovekosi

Map.ache - Whenever

This is the second edition of my monthly mix series – a little late for August, but finally here.
Also this time the idea is to play tracks I’ve produced, recently bought, or newly curated. A key element of this series is layering sounds that complement each other in mood, rhythm, or texture. I often let them run together for extended periods, blending them in a way that creates something new – not quite a remix, not exactly an edit, but something in between.

This time, I’m especially proud that the mix also features Basch, who is not only a close friend but also has an upcoming EP on Polycarp Records. Including one of his tracks here feels like a perfect bridge to what’s coming next.

This was an edit I was working on two-three years ago. 

However, when my hard drive crashed I lost the project file so all I have left is this unmixed/unmastered version. I still kind of like it though, so I thought to myself: why not release it?

The DJ and producer based in Hamburg St. Pauli has already made a name for himself: with some deep sounds between house and techno, he has already released his music on various labels.  Since 2016 he has been running his own label POLYCARP RECORDS. Here he wants to create a base to release his own tracks and works with friends and artists who match his idea or share his vision of contemporary dance music.
