Simon has been playing music ever since he could walk. He grew up in the countryside in Denmark and started banging the drums at an early age. At age 11 he switched to guitar and singing.
Learning chords from his daddys record collection, he was introduced to a broad variety of music, from Neil Young to Black Sabbath and U2.
Got signed to EMI Music with his former band, Sparklin' June, releasing album and extensive touring.
After Sparklin June disbanned, Simon started working as a touring sideman with established Danish acts such as Carpark North, Nik&Jay, Aura Dione and Mads Langer a. o. Besides being experienced on the live scene, Luth also has great skills in the studio. On his solo albums he’s in charge as the producer, as well as playing most instruments.
He's been writing and touring in most of Europe, living in London and Berlin for longer periods of time, before establishing his current studio ”The Bakery” in Copenhagen , where he writes for his own projects as well as producing and writing with other artists.
Always searching for the great hook, the great beat or whatever inspires a new song.
