Beautiful Mind

World premiere performed by Sylvia Hinz (recorders) and Cordula Heiland (piano) on 12th November 2011 at Konzertsaal Zellestrasse, Berlin, Germany.

This piece has a myriad of inflences starting with a performance I heard of an early Mozart Violin Sonata (quoted briefly) as well as an unending melody which never ends and simply fades from human perception. In composing I could find no place for fast virtuosic display so instead I wrote music emotinally charged and with a John Dowland-esque sadness.
