Simon Shaw delivers his latest EP via Berlin-based imprint Heat Up Music this August, comprising three 
originals from the UK based artist. 
Simon Shaw has been rising up the ranks as a producer and DJ over the past few years via his own brand and 
events series Sense, as well as his work with Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records, Defected and many more. 
Here though we see him joining the roster of Heat Up music, the Berlin based imprint run by The Checkup. 
‘Heater’ leads the package with crunchy drums, choppy chord stabs and a gritty bass line running alongside 
soaring vocal lines. ‘Time’ follows next and strips things back, laying focus on wandering soft chords, snaking 
sub bass tones and a heavily swung drum groove. 
‘Honey’ then rounds out the release, fusing an amalgamation of winding lead strings, bright stab hits, bumpy 
drums, bouncy organ hits and male vocal samples.
