This episode we get real simpy talking about Kaash Paige's song "Love Songs". We relate to her lyrics about meeting someone and falling for them and sadly realizing after a while that their energy isn't matching yours anymore. We've all been on both sides of that situation, you start off with certain expectations and it sucks when reality falls short. You start off opening up, have cute nicknames for each other and then they start playing games and make it confusing. But at least we got songs like this to help us feel connected to other people who are also going through it.

We cover some good topics today with Jessie Reyez's song "Imported" ft. 6lack. We talk about being a rebound or finding a rebound after a relationship, which we say is the best way to get over a person but can still be messy. Jessie talks about faking it till you make it which we interpret as sometimes  having to pretend you're over someone until you finally are, or maybe faking the love in a new relationship until it's real. Another fun topic we bring up - Body count! Do people still ask their s/o about this or is it just weirdos on Twitter? We also talk about using gifts as a manipulation tactic and how people use other people for gifts. To each their own I guess. Follow us on IG!

We're talking about "WAP" today by Cardi B featuring Megan Thee Stallion. We also have our first ever guest on the show. Kory gives his male perspective on pick me's, baecations, and other juicy topics. We cry a little bit that Covid 19 ruined our hot girl summer, then we get straight into a tweet about which type of girl is more likely to get cheated on - the perfect girl next door that does everything for her man (cooks and cleans), or the independent, wild, "ratchet" type. In the end you should live the life you want to live without worrying what anyone has to say. Do what works for you and be smart about what that is. Use your WAP or good dick to your advantage as long as you're not hurting anyone!

The WAP Episode S2 EP05

This episode we're finally talking about one of our favorite R&B girls, Summer Walker. She had too many bops to choose from on her album Over It, and we couldn't decide, so we picked "Riot" off her 2019 EP, Clear. It's all about expressing to someone that you need passion in your relationship, and that some boring, too-easy love, isn't gonna cut it. It's so relatable because we've been conditioned to think love has to be this fiery passionate thing, but sometimes that can become unrealistic in a long term situation, and borderline toxic. Is passion overrated? There has to be some happy medium, and like always communication is the only thing that will help everyone involved be happy. Love languages need to be discussed and effort needs to be made to make your partner feel desired and loved if that's what they're asking for. At the end of the day, the grass is greener where you water it, so focus on your relationship and stop comparing it or trying to uphold it to other standards that have nothing to do with what works for you.

We end with some tweets about dudes that beg for a chance with you just to end up fucking you over, and healthy discussions versus arguments in relationships.

Need A Riot S2 EP13

This week we're diving into H.E.R.'s song "Hard Place". It's about being torn between leaving or staying in a relationship that is no longer making you happy. As much as we may receive good advice, or know exactly what the right thing to do is, it isn't an easy decision to make. We also talk about trauma bonds, which is when one person or both people in a relationship are unable to leave each other even though things are clearly toxic and not working. There is this false sense of hope that things will change, and you become addicted to the small instances in which you make-up and the "love" comes back for a minute. It's a horrible, unhealthy cycle that takes strength to overcome. It's a fine line between fighting for a relationship in which there is lots of forgiveness and mutual growth and understanding, and being stuck in something that may never change and is taking a toll on your own well-being.
