Well... you know. Getting closer and closer to the day which defines my third anniversary here on SC, i realize - yes, that is the fifth Collector so far , i know i know. These are huge, there is alot to discover and dig. No real order, no real guideline, just a flow , from one Artist i listen to , to the next one and on and on and on. 

Thank you all for your contribution in these times, making music, spreading and sharing it and supporting each other. That's simply wonderful! So what is there more to say rather than - if you're on this list, you've been definitely heard and there is a big chance that i arc back for more, sooner or later!

This is a version of the unfinished song originally recorded by Jeff Buckley, son of Tim Buckley, and Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins.

The two recorded a rough demo of this beautiful piece during their short-lived time together, however it was never formally released or even properly recorded. Sadly, Jeff Buckley died in 1997 at the age of 30. 

As beautiful as the song is (and how can it not be with those 2 angelic voices singing), I have always been left with the impression that it isn't actually finished and it deserves to be so. In short, I think that there is an opportunity to bring this song to a much wider contemporary audience and, in doing so, draw attention to the great legacy of these 2 artists.

For this version we have retained the opening lyric, “My eyes are baptism” and the chorus but created a new narrative for the song.

Lost Summer

Well we are a little rusty... been the longest time since Dani and I simply did some improvisation.. so here is a rough few minutes recorded even rougher the other night after a session at the wonderful Hobart artspace 'Proofspace' where we have been fortunate to use as we write a new score for the beautiful and poignant silent movie " The Smiling Madame Beudet"... With luck we will get to perform the movie at sometime in the future! Felt great just to make some shit up for the first time in ages : )
