Young Leipzig talent Kolja Gerstenberg makes his debut on Monologues with three raw cuts following releases on Quintessentials, SUOL and Smile For A While (including a remix by Move D), plus a remix for Cassius. 'Erdball' is a chugging, stomping slice of woozy house, 'Muffsound' sees his background as a drummer shine through in its choice of breakbeats with an array of sampled textures creating the vibe, while 'Herber 660' flips between the deepest house and slo-mo trap-tinged beats. G. Markus reworks 'Muffsound' in chunkier, acid/rave-tinged style on his G-Mix.

Johannes Albert is a producer as diverse as they come. Comfortable across all sub genres of dance music from deep house to italo disco, in Italy they call him Giovanni Alberto. He's been praised by the likes BICEP, Gerd Janson, Lauer and the Keinemusik crew, and he's only just getting started. 

The Dancing Plague EP is summer music for summer people. Opening with the hefty, wonky basslines of the club ready; TPTS. Gravy Train is a combination of grooving bass-lines and disco drums, the end result is a solid dancefloor stomper. The uniquely titled Pachanga follows, abundant with nu disco and italo references. This is a real summer track, as the sun sets in the city ahead of a huge party, the one that will entice the shyest of dancers to move. Keeping with the off the cuff track names, the EP finishes with the dusty, sun tinged Rainbow Pan.

Over the past ten years the Needwant mantra has been to push the very best in new talent, having provided the platform for the likes of Kiwi, The Mekanism, Maxxi Soundsystem, The Revenge and many more.

After a few smatterings and teasing’s of his ability and musical nous via his own Valby Rotary, Thirty Year, Rodeo and a cameo on Seb Wildblood’s, All My Thoughts; @LouisFitton is back. This time on Radio One DJ, Rob da Bank's independent dance imprint, @Silver-Bear-Recordings with his stunning 5 cut record, 'Times Were Simpler'.

With the tracks title harking back to simpler times that have gone by, Louf aptly achieves fusing textures of nostalgia on to the characteristically steely twists and joints of his percussion. As the melody prevails, the metallic snares and accompanying nuances swing and envelop, ensuring the dance provides the engine beneath the full 8.02 minutes. Emblematic of Louf and his Valby compatriots style, the wistful mood of the track is at the centre of the tracks aura, emanating melancholic atmosphere that yet remains optimistic. If only times were simpler, eh.

Kevin Over returns to Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records this October with his ‘Lavender’ EP, backed with a remix from Seven Davis Jr.

Berlin-based producer and DJ Kevin Over has been on the rise over the past few years with a steady stream of output on the likes of Gerd’s 4Lux, Dj Steaw’s House Puff and of course Madhouse where he returns to here following last years ‘Where To Begin’ EP.

The original mix of ‘Penthouse Boogie’ opens with jangling metallic percussion, thunderous sub tones and dusty drums driving the groove whilst an amalgamation of choppy chords and stabs ebb and flow amongst hypnotic pads, hooky vocals and jazzy marimba tones.

Seven Davis Jr’s remix of 'Penthouse Boogie' follows, taking a more raw and stripped-back approach with a gritty drum groove, skippy hats at the forefront whilst easing in the original’s vocal chant, resonant pad swells, wandering marimba tones and a fresh, bumpy bass line.

Title-track 'Lavender' then rounds out the package on a Garage tip with swinging broken drums, hooky vocal phrases, murky bass tones and organ stabs.
