this song is about an alien who gets lost and ends up crash landing on earth. he has a diary and keeps it thinking he will make the best of his stay. long story short he winds up just going from place to place wondering the earth without purpose and getting drunk...

simpleshapes is a three piece band based in Brooklyn and headed by former erosamore, lotus, and factoryradio songstress Taylor Fleming. With over 200 songs in her pocket (more than 100 of them remembered), Taylor is prolific as well as ok at memorizing her own songs. She met violist Tim Anderson in November 2010 playing Patsy Cline on the subway, and simpleshapes was born. Soon after, Taylor recruited her erosamore buddy, and long time collaborator Peter Petropoulos on guitar, and her chihuahua Oliver on backing vocals.
