I was asked to write a track recently for the ‘Pretty Shady’ campaign in Australia in an effort to help raise awareness for the dangers of skin cancer. The track itself is a celebration of the sunshine but at the same time (via Andrea Kiriwin’s lyrics) it’s also about the dangers of the sun and not protecting yourself from it (‘we love the sunshine but it’s the reason we burn…’). The vibe of the tune is summery and ravey with a solid 90’s breakbeat feel (no doubt heavily influenced by my new Original Rude Boy side project! https://soundcloud.com/original-rude-boy-146533804). I’m also working on a more upfront club mix at the moment which is going to be a lot of fun plus we are running a remix comp. Stay tuned! KK x

I stumbled upon one of my mixes from 2002. It was a bittersweet event because this mix was a favorite of my old friend and once roommate Shell (R.I.P). I lost the original cover art and so I have redesigned it in her honor. She listened to this mix so much that her boyfriend at the time approached me in a record shop and asked that I make a new mix so he could take the CD he had been listening to for months out of his car. An ever present spirit in the middle of the dance floor and  quite possibly my biggest fan, Shell will always have a place in my heart and she is dearly missed.

Again this is a re-edit I did a while back to play in my DJ sets that I've recently re-mastered. This is my fav Prodigy song of all time. It's more of a re-edit than a total make over as the original song is so strong I just wanted to make something that would fit BPM wise, structure wise & generally give it a little update to play out... ENJOY!

Update: As I've just released my free downloads mix that this track features on I decided to do a 2024 re-master which is now the version on the player!

This is a remix we (Simplicate and Jason Parson) did several years back. The stems are lost somewhere on a hard drive so this is the only version of this mix that will ever exist. 

Aromabar: Winter Pageant (Adz and Subtraktz Unofficial Unmastered and Unabridged remix)

We named this for the brave people standing up for their rights in Turkey. It is a Middle East inspired track, blending dubstep, breaks, and progressive house. Still a work in progress, however, trial runs at parties and as the opening track on Yaksha have seen lots of positive feedback.

Simplicate is a veteran of the Alaskan underground. With a DJ career lasting over 2 decades, he has been part of every incarnation of the scene since the mid '90s. His combination of house, breakbeats, garage, and progressive, mixed creatively and seamlessly set him apart and has garnered him praise from local and international DJs alike. 

He is a regular guest artist on Alaska's local Beatroots broadcast and attracts listeners from around the world through his DJ mixes and productions released under the moniker Adz & Subtraktz (along with his production partner Jason Parson).
