Only a year has passed since the Russian dnb musician https://soundcloud.com/blackbarreldnb, with releases on Metalheadz & Dispatch Recordings, announced himself on the dubstep stage with a "Lost In Rave" EP under the alias Leo Cap. The first EP showcased the musician's ability to create both assertive, uncompromising sound and deeper stuff at 140 bpm. The EP was noted by such important genre players as Sicaria Sound, FatKidOnFire & Infernal Sounds.

"Dystinkt returns to In:flux Audio for his second EP, 'Technicolour', and this one sees him levelling up the sound design work from his last EP outing 'Tripletz' with three tasty cuts that walk the line between the OG Dubstep sound and those Grimey vibes that makes his work some of our favourite within the scene.

Title track 'Technicolour' kicks the EP off in style, pulling out all the stops with some incredible Joker-esque synth work that will have you pulling screwface in the rave come June 21st. He follows the title track up with 'Dabs' which brings a wicked blend of bass progression and drumwork to the table, with 'Wonked Out' doing what it says on the tin to bring the three excellent original tracks to a close.

On remix duty we're chuffed to welcome back man like Reso to the label for the first time since 2017 plus another one of roster favourites in J. Kong, who both give lend their immense talents to remixing title track 'Technicolour'. Reso goes full 2010 on his remix, lacing the wicked synth work from the original over gnarling bass tones and punching drums. J. Kong goes in a different direction with the track, giving it a stripped back work over like only he can - a minimal take on the original that is the perfect way to close out the EP."

In early 2021 Demonstrators were speaking out about structural inequality, poverty, land reform, police violence, health care, and lack of education and opportunity. 

A lot of these problems have existed in Colombia for years, but they deepened dramatically during the pandemic. 
Police responded with repeatedly and arbitrarily dispersing peaceful demonstrations by using excessive, often brutal force, including live ammunition. 

Multiple killings by police, as well as beatings, sexual abuse, and arbitrary detention of demonstrators and bystanders are documented.

In order to support the fight against the violence by the Colombian government we made this compilation. 100% of the profits will go to Temblores ONG. So please donate when the time has come!"

You had your debut album out earlier this year. Tell me more about how you picked the tracks for your album, how long did it take you to finalize it?

I was in full lockdown period here in italy and decided to create something more concrete than a single or an ep and i went for the album way. The process has been very organic and all the song idea came in about 3 weeks. i then took in total 2 months to finalize the project and submit for Dark Heart rec.

It was a really dark period for the world , but i tried to use the time wisely and create something that make me feel good. Love future Garage because you can experiment a lot , breaking boundaries and still have a nice audience that understand you even if is a really niche genre.

What's your favourite track from this mix and why?

The track that mostly represend me in this mix is Lift me up . A future garage track with heavy use of old funk breaks that gives that nostalgic feel and mood that bring the listener back to the jungle rave era with a future twist.

Honorable mention for the collabs with Greencyde and Linear Curb .

"Tik&Borrow are back for their second outing this year and they've teamed up with longtime In:flux Audio alumni 1point5 for our final EP of the year entitled 'Thundaga'.

With both Tik and 1point5 residing in Leeds, towards the back end of 2019 they got together on a monthly basis to begin working on a couple of tracks that blurred the lines between Dubstep and Breakbeat, something both producers had dabbled with previously for the label. What evolved from these production sessions were two original tracks that blend 1point5's crisp drum work and melodies with Tik's love for acid synths and beefy bass drops. Borrow came in for some finishing touches, and hey presto, the Thundaga EP was born.

J. Kong is the sole remixer on this project and the lad means business, taking the lead track 'Thunder Dub' and turning it into a lean dubstep affair with a second drop that'll make you pull the meanest bass face you are capable of."

This collection of sound provides an audibly murky atmosphere that is evident with deliberate use of bass line distortion and melodically eerie synths.
