QUARANTINE BEATS BY JAG BANCIL

Jag Bancil has been keeping busy during this lockdown period and has put together 4 instrumentals. He’s now looking for some talent to collab with so if you’re a singer, rapper or even a producer, holla...

 

He’s worked on 4 different styles, each one having the distinct JB touch. A personal description on each beat from the man himself…

 

Instrumental 1: Yeh Kya Hua - This is a sample taken from one of my favourite tracks. The composition, the music pieces, to the singer - Shreya Ghoshal, everything was perfect on this track. I just had to put my spin on it so I took a little sample from the original track & increased the tempo to speed it up a bit. I then added acoustic guitars and a piano and the final result was such a vibe, don’t you think? From the moment you press play to this track you’ll be singing away with the sample.

 

Instrumental 2: Killa - This track has a reggae feel written all over it with heavy bass. I wanted to create something different with this so it’s not your usual reggae sounding track. I decided to add some tabla fills rather than your usual reggae drum fills throughout the beat. To top it off, I had to add a bad boy Dholki on this to complete the funky groove – it’s on fire.

 

Instrumental 3: Ciao Bella (Garage) - This sample and influence has been taken from one of my favourite shows from Netflix - ‘Money Heist’. I took the main hook of the original Italian folk song and increased the tempo. I added a fast electric piano chord structure alongside to match the high tempo beat. The song is a garage mix and is bound to get you dropping those gun finger shots on the dancefloor. It’s got an urban/classic twist.

 

Instrumental 4: Gaddi beat - This beat is exactly what it says - a gaddi beat. When I was producing this track I wanted it to be as simple as possible with some hard drums and heavy 808s. This will get you all bopping your head. It’s all about desi bhangra with a twist.
