creating this set took me on a journey. I wanted to encapsulate the feeling of a deep dark rave, and combine that with the grounding sensations of dancing outdoors. 
This set is a true reflection of who I am and where I am going. thank you for coming on the journey with me ◾️

What a huge show this was! I had the pleasure of playing the open set for Oolstay pres. Parfait and Juicy Romance. Here is my set! Hypnotic, hard techno and psychedelia dripping throughout. 

I can still visualise the sweat dripping from the roof of 524 flinders, an iconic rave <3

I wrote this after a period of connecting deeply to my Indian roots. 

The single is written intentionally in an uplifting key (D major), to achieve a distinct purpose: to bring light and energy to a typically darker scene, to make people dance, shake them demons off boooo x

Prana

Seeker is a mysterious, dark, hypnotic techno track. It soundtracks the feeling of exploration, akin to a navigation system traversing unknown territories, or an astral body tethered only by the thread of consciousness to their earthly realm. 

Originally released on Naarm based label Connection Verified in 2023 on their final VA, "When Are We?" before the closure of the label.

The Naarm (Melbourne) and Berlin-based agency has built a community of DJs, producers and performers from the Australian and European regions, and now is the time to unveil the cutting-edge sounds resonating out of the community.

Overflowing with 17 tracks, this release is a snapshot of the unique energy that thrives on dancefloors, where boundary-pushing sounds come to life. This release isn't just a showcase of talent; it's a celebration of the collective spirit that drives underground music forward.

Expect bass-driven breaks from Ekzander, Sniper1, Monfreaq and Subsism, as well as Wretla’s euphoria-inducing garage. Pacey tech from Simrana and AWHM, with DJ Huntsman taking the hypnotic tip. BADEO, Basscamp, suki, Jeku and Anderson keep the flow grooving with their prog house and minimal percussion, while Desire, Lex, Cybernet and Azo provide the high energy peak-time delicacies.

50% of profits from the release will be split evenly between Pay The Rent (Australia) and the MA’AN Development Centre (Gaza).

Simrana’s multi-faceted artistic project is the direct result of an unwavering passion for music, creativity and life. 

Alongside their talents as a mixer and selector, the Naarm-based artist recently released music on labels Meganesia, Canadian-based Techgnosis Records and Weaver. Blending elements of psychedelia, dream-like synths and rhythmic percussion, Simrana continues to create a unique tapestry of sounds. 

Simrana authentically draws upon the sounds of both her Indian heritage and really her experience throughout life.
