ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
Bilawal 5th Guru,
ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
O my loved Lord, though art the Treasure of bliss.
ਅਗਨਤ ਗੁਣ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੇ ॥
Infinite are Thine excellences, O my Lord Master.
ਮੋਹਿ ਅਨਾਥ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥
I, an orphan, have entered Thine sanctuary.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥
O Lord, have mercy on me, that I may meditate on Thy feet.
ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਬਸਹੁ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
My Master, take pity on me and abide Thou within my mind,
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਲੀਜੈ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉੁ ॥
and let me, the meritless one, hold on to Thy skirt. Pause.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾ ਕੈਸੀ ਭੀੜ ॥
If I remember the Lord, what calamity, can then befall me?
ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਮ ਪੀੜ ॥
God's slave suffers not pain caused by Yama.
ਸਰਬ ਦੂਖ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਸੇ ॥
All the troubles of him pass away,
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਸੈ ॥੨॥
who remembers God, and with whom the Lord ever abides.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
The Lord's Name is the support of my soul and body,
ਬਿਸਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਵਤ ਤਨੁ ਛਾਰੁ ॥
and forgetting the Name the body is reduced to ashes.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਏ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਕਾਜ ॥
Contemplating the Lord, all the affairs are adjusted.
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਸਭ ਕਾ ਮੁਹਤਾਜ ॥੩॥
Forsaking his Lord, the mortal becomes subservient to all.
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
By enshrining love for the Lord's lotus feet,
ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਰੀਤਿ ॥
I am rid of all the evil thoughts and ways.
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ ॥
Within my mind and body is the Name of the Lord God.
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ॥੪॥੩॥
Nanak, within the home of the Lord's serfs, abides the eternal bliss.

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ 
Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl: 
ਅਉੁਖੀ ਘੜੀ ਨ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੇਈ ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ 
He does not let His devotees see the difficult times; this is His innate nature. 
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉੁ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥੧॥ 
Giving His hand, He protects His devotee; with each and every breath, He cherishes him. ||1|| 
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉੁ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਮੇਰਾ ਚੀਤੁ ॥ 
My consciousness remains attached to God. 
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਧੰਨੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਮੀਤੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉੁ ॥ 
In the beginning, and in the end, God is always my helper and companion; blessed is my friend. ||Pause|| 
ਮਨਿ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਭਏ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੇ ਅਚਰਜ ਦੇਖਿ ਬਡਾਈ ॥ 
My mind is delighted, gazing upon the marvellous, glorious greatness of the Lord and Master. 
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਆਨਦ ਕਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਾਈ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੪੬॥ 
Remembering, remembering the Lord in meditation, Nanak is in ecstasy; God, in His perfection, has protected and preserved his honor. ||2||15||46||
