ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਨਿਰਾਧਾਰ ਨਿਰਾਹਾਰ ਨਿਰ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਅਜੋਨੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਅਭੇਵ ਹੈ ॥
The eternal form of the Lord whose embodiment is True Guru, is formless, who is bereft of all support, who has no desire of any food, who is free of all vices, free of entering wombs to take birth, who is imperishable, limitless and who cannot be fathomed.

ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਨਿਰਬੈਰ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਨਿਰਦੋਖ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਅਤਹ ਪਰ ਅਤ ਏਵ ਹੈ ॥
He is sans attachment, animosity, free of all allurements and stigmas, fearless, uninfluenced by maya and is beyond the beyond.

ਅਬਿਗਤਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਅਗਾਧ ਬੋਧ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਲਖ ਅਤਿ ਅਛਲ ਅਛੇਵ ਹੈ ॥
Whose extent cannot be known, is imperceptible, beyond the senses, whose expanse is unknowable, who is ever stable, beyond perceptions, is beyond deception nor can be hurt by anyone.

ਬਿਸਮੈ ਬਿਸਮ ਅਸਚਰਜੈ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਮੈ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਪਰਮਦਭੁਤ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਹੈ ॥੩੪੪॥
Knowing Him is most baffling, amazing and astonishing that can make anyone blissfully ecstatic. The effulgent of form the True Guru is the form of such an eternal and radiant God Lord. (344)

ਗਾਵਉੁ ਗੁਨ ਪਰਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਦੁਰਤ ਨਿਵਾਰਣ ਸਬਦ ਸਰੇ ॥
I sing the Glorious Praises of the most exalted Guru Nanak, the Ocean of peace, the Eradicator of sins, the sacred pool of the Shabad, the Word of God.
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਧੀਰ ਮਤਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੰਗਮ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰੇ ॥
The beings of deep and profound understanding, oceans of wisdom, sing of Him; the Yogis and wandering hermits meditate on Him.
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਦਿ ਭਗਤ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦਿਕ ਆਤਮ ਰਸੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਾਣਿਓ ॥
Indra and devotees like Prahlaad, who know the joy of the soul, sing of Him.
ਕਬਿ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਉੁ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਾਣਿਓ ॥੨॥
KAL the poet sings the Sublime Praises of Guru Nanak, who enjoys mastery of Raja Yoga, the Yoga of meditation and success. ||2||

Supreme Lord, whose each hair support millions of cosmos has incarnated as Satguru in human form.

ਜਾ ਕੇ ਓਅੰਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਨਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਖ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
The Omniprotector Lord who has many forms, appearing as Guru has given sermon to his disciples in person.

ਜਗ ਭੋਗ ਨਈਵੇਦ ਜਗਤ ਭਗਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਅਸਨ ਬਸਨ ਗੁਰੁਸਿਖਨ ਲਡਾਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
The God for whose propitiation yags are performed, food and offerings are made, the same Lord takes the form of Guru now coddling his Sikhs by distributing food and to his disciples.

ਨਿਗਮ ਸੇਖਾਦਿਕ ਕਥਿਤ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਪੂਰਮ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਨ ਲਖਾਏ ਹੈਂ ॥੩੫॥
The supreme Creator, whom Shesh Nag and others have calling by innumerable names, now manifests as Guru showing Himself to His devotees (The Sikhs). (35)

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥
Sorat'h, Third Mehla:
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਬਦੇ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਭਾਈ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
The Dear Lord is realized through the Word of His Shabad, O Brothers, which is found only by perfect destiny.
ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਭਾਈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਤੀਆ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
The happy soul-brides are forever in peace, O Brothers; night and day, they are attuned to the Lord's Love. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਰੰਗੁ ਚੜਾਇ ॥
O Dear Lord, You Yourself color us in Your Love.
ਗਾਵਹੁ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਿਹੋ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sing, continually sing His Praises, imbued with His Love, O Brothers; be in love with the Lord. ||Pause||
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਣੀ ਭਾਈ ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ॥
Work to serve the Guru, O Brothers; abandon self-conceit, and focus your consciousness.
ਸਦਾ ਸਹਜੁ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੨॥
You shall be in peace forever, and you shall not suffer in pain any longer, O Brothers; the Lord Himself shall come and abide in your mind. ||2||
ਪਿਰ ਕਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ ਭਾਈ ਸਾ ਕੁਲਖਣੀ ਕੁਨਾਰਿ ॥
She who does not know the Will of her Husband Lord, O Brothers, is an ill-mannered and bitter bride.
ਮਨਹਠਿ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਣੀ ਭਾਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੂੜਿਆਰਿ ॥੩॥
She does things with a stubborn mind, O Brothers; without the Name, she is false. ||3||
ਸੇ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਭਾਇ ਸਚੈ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ॥
They alone sing the Lord's Praises, who have such pre-ordained destiny written upon their foreheads, O Brothers; through the Love of the True Lord, they find detachment.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੇ ਗੁਣ ਰਵਹਿ ਭਾਈ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਗੁਰ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੁ ॥੪॥
Night and day, they are imbued with His Love; they utter His Glorious Praises, O Brothers, and they lovingly focus their consciousness on the Fearless Guru. ||4||
ਸਭਨਾ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਲਦਾ ਭਾਈ ਸੋ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ॥
He kills and revives all, O Brothers; serve Him, day and night.
ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਮਨਹੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਡੀ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਿ ॥੫॥
How can we forget Him from our minds, O Brothers? His gifts are glorious and great. ||5||
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਮੈਲੀ ਡੁੰਮਣੀ ਭਾਈ ਦਰਗਹ ਨਾਹੀ ਥਾਉ ॥
The self-willed manmukh is filthy and double-minded, O Brothers; the finds no place of rest in the Court of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਤ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੈ ਭਾਈ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਉ ॥੬॥
But if she becomes Gurmukh, then she chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord, O Brothers; the meets her True Beloved, and merges in Him. ||6||
ਏਤੁ ਜਨਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਭਾਈ ਕਿਆ ਮੁਹੁ ਦੇਸੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
In this life, she has not focused her consciousness on the Lord, O Brothers; how can she show her face when she leaves?
ਕਿੜੀ ਪਵੰਦੀ ਮੁਹਾਇਓਨੁ ਭਾਈ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਨੋ ਲੋਭਾਇ ॥੭॥
In spite of the warning calls which were sounded, she has been plundered, O Brothers; she yearned only for corruption. ||7||
ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਹਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਵਸਹਿ ਭਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਰੀਰ ॥
Those who dwell upon the Naam, O Brothers, their bodies are ever peaceful and tranquil.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਤੂ ਭਾਈ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰ ॥੮॥੩॥
O Nanak, dwell upon the Naam; the Lord is infinite, virtuous and unfathomable, O Brothers. ||8||3||

ਪਉੜੀ ੩੫ : ਬਗਦਾਦ-ਗਮਨ
Going to Baghdad 

ਫਿਰਿ ਬਾਬਾ ਗਇਆ ਬਗਦਾਦਿ ਨੋ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਕੀਆ ਅਸਥਾਨਾ।
From Mecca Baba went to Baghdad and stayed outside the city.

ਇਕੁ ਬਾਬਾ ਅਕਾਲ ਰੂਪੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਰਬਾਬੀ ਮਰਦਾਨਾ।
Firstly, Baba himself was in the form of Timeless and secondly, he had his companion Mardana, the rebeck player.

ਦਿਤੀ ਬਾਂਗਿ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ਕਰਿ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਨਿ ਹੋਆ ਜਹਾਨਾ।
For namaz (in his own style), Baba gave call, listening to which the whole world went into absolute silence.

ਸੁੰਨ ਮੁੰਨਿ ਨਗਰੀ ਭਈ ਦੇਖਿ ਪੀਰ ਭਇਆ ਹੈਰਾਨਾ।
The whole city became quiet and lo! to behold it, the pir (of the town) also got wonderstruck.

ਵੇਖੈ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਲਗਾਇ ਕਰਿ ਇਕੁ ਫਕੀਰੁ ਵਡਾ ਮਸਤਾਨਾ।
Observing minutely he found (in the form of Baba Nanak) an exhilerated faquir.

ਪੁਛਿਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਕੈ ਦਸਤਗੀਰ ਕਉਣ ਫਕੀਰੁ ਕਿਸ ਕਾ ਘਰਿਆਨਾ।
Pir Dastegir asked him, which category of faquir you belong to and what is your parentage.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਲਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਇਆ ਰਬੁ ਫਕੀਰੁ ਇਕੋ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਾ।
(Mardana told) He is Nanak, who has come into kaliyug, and, he recognises God and His faquirs as one.

ਧਰਤਿ ਆਕਾਸ ਚਹੂ ਦਿਸਿ ਜਾਨਾ ॥੩੫॥
He is known in all the directions besides earth and sky.
