Resuming our Dispatch Dubplate series in 2017, we are excited to welcome Commix to the fold, with a debut release this May.
 
Presenting four exclusive cuts from the UK born Berliner, the release features quintessential, club primed Commix rollers, alongside some profound and polished experimentation; providing a true sense of the depth in his quality today.
 
Still retaining the renowned infectiousness of his back catalogue, Commix nimbly connects the dots between flavours of the past and his path for the future, authentically delivering yet another classic release; something we felt called for a vinyl release right from the off. 

With 400 hand stamped, signed and numbered heavyweight vinyl copies available, there is a very limited press and much like previous Dispatch Dubplates, this will never be re-pressed.

As with past Dispatch Dubplate records, these do sell out way ahead of release date so to secure a copy we'd advise pre-ordering today. This time round we have a higher allocation that we will be selling directly via our Dispatch Recordings store, we are unsure at this point in time on any amount that will go to general distribution.

1. Simstah - Fragmented 
Warm pads, subtle teases of piano and hearty vocals light up the sparse, but catchy intro from Berne homie Simstah, just to surprise on the drop when switching things to a a gritty bassline funk affair with irresistible groove. The classy track beautifully alternates between two poles, letting the dark contrast with the light and falling back from the leading heavyweight riff to its more emotional undertone again. 

2. OctaState - OMB
Our brother from St Gallen in the far East of Switzerland delivers his trademark simplistic, yet highly energetic style, starting off with vintage style synth samples and vocal chops, enough to build up great tension before unleashing a massive warping b-line sustained by an uberpowerful kick and snare rhythm - peak time tuneage guaranteed to shake the walls of any warehouse

3. OctaState - Trace Tech 
Upbeat minimalist Rave stomper laced with lovely dubbed-out bleeps and effects that is very much an updated hommage to the Tech Step sound dominating the international scene around the millennium years. Faceslapping snares, relentlessly driven forward by the poignant kickdrum and the chest-hitting Sub Bass with maximum impact on the drop, this is anthemic stuff made for the big sound rigs. 


4. Simstah - Memories
Laidback summertime flex for the sunlovers with fat slices of 90s headnod nostalgia to close off the EP with superpowered oldschool breakbeats, rumbling bass hits and musical swooshes of cut-up funk and soul bits, showing Simstahs deep roots in Hip Hop and its sampling culture. If you remember strolling home from La Cinta Beach in Sardinia, this would make the perfect soundtrack.

Soul Deep Exclusives and Flowrian are proud to present the Granite & Dandelions EP, which is now available in all major digital stores and streaming sites.  Flowrian, who hails from Switzerland, has made a name for himself with previous releases on Soul Deep, Jazzsticks, Good Looking, Flight Pattern, Fokuz and Celsius.  He returns to Soul Deep, with a solid 2 track release, that shows off his progression as a producer.  Flowrian takes his engineering to another level for his release on Soul Deep, blending sounds together to create a perfectly crafted and musical soundscape.  The title track, “Granite & Dandelions,” leads things off with it’s meticulously edited breaks, knocking percussion, squelching mid baselines, and haunting vocal samples.  The second track, “Edward the Hamster,” Is up next and features snappy drums, a laid back sub bassline, and sharp mid bass embellishments that add layers and textures to the song.  The elements create the perfect backdrop for the deep pads, and beautiful melodies that help accentuate the overall vibe of the tune.  The Granite & Dandelions EP is another wicked release for Flowrian!

Simstah from Bern, Switzerland is one half of Drum&Bass production outfit Konfront.Audio which is featured on a number of international labels such as Flexout, Demand, Fokuz, Syndrome, Soul Deep and Citrus to name a few. Simstah started out Djing at the very early age of ten. After being hooked on Drum&Bass in 1996 he branched out into production in 2008 and is currently working on several different studio projects. Simstahs musical taste encompasses the broad spectrum of Drum&Bass, but he likes to work on the more down-tempo side of things as well. He landed his first solo-release on Structured music in 2015 and has releases on Blendits Audio, Jazzsticks Recordings, Flight Pattern Rec., Dutty Audio, Syndrome Audio and Re:st Rec. . Apart from production Simstah is regularly playing at major Swiss Events such as Darkside at Dachstock Berne or Mute at Hive Zürich.
