Inner Light

This composition is about coming home after being away for a long time. For this project, I used a midi-keyboard to actually perform the instrumentation myself as opposed to drawing notes on a screen. As the project started taking shape, I started drawing inspiration from the emotions I got when I saw my family for the first time in over a year during the Covid pandemic. My wife imagined a soldier coming home from an old war. Tell me what it makes you think of!

 I wanted to do this song in "takes", rather than using any editing, to preserve the human element in music.   This was the result. Enjoy.

The Fall

Self-taught musician, I got my first guitar at the age of 17 when my parents saw my grades were slipping at school and thought expressing myself through music might help. I have since taken up drumming, playing bass and more recently fiddling around with a keyboard.
I love mixing probably more than playing, and always try to make sure my songs are the best quality I can make them. Obviously you will notice some significant improvements in audio quality from my first recordings to my last ones as I get better at it over the years.
