"Sheida" is the newest single from Iranian American Duo Sarab. It's an ambitious sweet turn into a style they've never explored... but that's where the excitement lies.  It features an old Iranian song that every Persian has heard mother or grandmother sing while cooking in their kitchens.

all of us have known this feeling - the thirst for the beloved. whether the meeting be with the outer or the inner beloved, there is a certain beauty in the waiting. santoor, bamboo flute and a touch of violin invoke this feeling in this piece, based on raga darbari.

'Awakening' is based on a morning raga, Basant Mukhari, one of the sweetest melodious forms among morning-time ragas. As an early raga, it radiates the fresh energy of a new day. The piece is an invocation to existence, bringing a soothing balancing atmosphere, a positive vibration to start the day in balance.

'Solitude' is a piece full of romance, born out of the healing energy of love. Malkauns, a very expressive midnight raga, brings the listener into a tranquil, meditative space, with touches of a melancholic mysterious longing and a state of deep gratitude.
