A veteran DJ from Istanbul, Turkey. A part-time DJ and a full-time vinyl junkie, Rubsilent started collecting records back in 1996 and it has been his obsession ever since.
It is interesting to note that he had actually moved to Chicago for University in year 2000, which he notes was partially motivated by his desire to pay a musical pilgrimage to this enormous factory of house music. He moved back to Istanbul in 2007 with a much advanced record collection and inevitably a better knowledge of the rich musical heritage of the sprawling US megacity that is rarely disputed to be the birthplace of house music.

"I enjoy manipulating tracks with longer transitions, taking listeners on long journeys, never limiting my selections to a specific sub-genre. My primary focus is on House and Techno and anything in between, as my mixes contain a blend of new tunes mixed with timeless out-of-print cuts from yesteryear and yesterdecades"

A veteran DJ known as Rubsilent (real name Hamza Solim) from Istanbul, Turkey considers himself an occasional DJ and a full time vinyl junkie. Rubsilent started collecting records back in 1996 and it has been his life style ever since.
Moved to Chicago for University in year 2000 and he moved back to Istanbul in 2007 with a much advanced record collection and inevitably a better knowledge of the rich musical heritage of the sprawling US mega city that is rarely disputed to be the birthplace of house music. Other than coming across to him spinning carefully selected tunes for creating the best mood at various local spots in his hometown Istanbul such as Wake Up Call, Suma beach, Zorlu Center whether as a warm up DJ for the ones like Tama Sumo, Slam, Lil Louis, Derrick May or as a headliner  don’t be surprised if you stumble upon his name on party posters for sharing the same booth with the ones like Derek Carr at warehouse parties in London, club events in Berlin at places like Homopatik and special guest at boat parties in Belgrade like one of cities best party spot called 20/44.
