After the big success of Nu New Beat Vol.1 & 2, Fauve decided it was time to release Vol.3 and also to switch it up a bit.

The previous volumes were composed of only edits and reworks, but this one is a melting-pot between edits, covers, reworks & original tracks.

They called them outsiders; people that lived on the fringes of society and had no interest in traditional ways of living. People had their own opinions of the ways in which they chose to live their lives, not that it phased them in any way, they saw those living "regular" lives as the ones losing out. They thought of them as slaves to the system, doing what others told them. In contrast they thought of themselves as renegades - they carved out their own norms, and lived free of control.

Robi Insinna, better known as Headman, has been slowly teasing out music that will appear on his upcoming album, penned for release on his own Relish Recordings. 'Not About' is the second single to be released - a track that was originally shared as an instrumental all the way back in 2015. This brand new iteration, under its new name, features reworked and additional vocals from Robi, and in true Headman style comes complete with a dub version that veers into Detroit techno. To round off the package, he's invited Italian born producer Mario Resta, who moonlights as Exterminador, to create two special remixes.

From Above Vol. 3, fortieth reference (already!) of Lumière Noire and third compilation of the label is a record in its own right. Let's say that it would be a pity to classify it in the "commercial sampler" category or to reduce it to a "random" playlist. La Belle boss Golden Bug hails from Paris and is a record producer, label owner, DJ, groove sculptor and metal sculptor who has had great solo success with singles and albums on his own imprint as well as Les Disques de la Mort and Gomma. 

The EP opens with the excellent 'Taste Of Love’ feat. Pajaro Sunrise, taken from Golden Bug’s 2016 album. As well as a new dub instrumental and remix from French pair Il Est Vilaine 

Golden Bug then offers up a brand new composition in ‘Hippie Friends,’ a superb slow motion acid anthem. It has sludgy drums that suck you in, psychedelic vocal sounds and gloopy bass all finished with ticking percussion and metallic hits.
