The "MEDUSA Ep" was released by Rodion on Roccodisco and contains two unique gems: "MEDUSA" and "SOLENOID". 
The tracks have now been reworked and dubbed by Alien Alien (the combo of Rodion himself and the DJ Hugosan). The relationship between Rodion and Alien Alien has been indefinable, ever since their "SAMBACA" anthem: osmosis, inspiration, metamorphosis. 
Here Alien Alien take Rodion's electronic glamour vision to a whole different level: slower, dirtier and even druggier. BPMs at around 100... 


MEDUSA - Caribbean Alien Alien dub 
With hypnotic vocals from DJs Pareja (Comeme/Turbo), the original anthem Medusa is fed to the darkest of Caribbean nights, where primitive cumbia, scary voodoo and tribal magic melt into one in a freaky dance ritual.

SOLENOID - Pluviale Alien Alien dub
The pluviale dub of Solenoid carries you into a wet and slow trip: a psychedelic moombaton piece originating from a forgotten sound system somewhere along the Amazon river . 

SOLENOID - Interstellar Alien Alien dub 
The interstellar dub of Solenoid lifts us up through obscure planets and nebulas: hypnotic cosmic dust waves, which ride the tightest of Alien grooves. 

This music is the sound of the mystic on the dance floor, where body and groove become one.

@XXXTheLabel is a new dutch label created by a bunch of friends that run the eponym "XXX" club nights in Amsterdam. We supported their very cool first release by "Jack Pattern" through our infamous Youtube channel and now comes in a few weeks the second one by Lipsky brother's Simple Symmetry . We do really like their unique fresh blend and premiered not so long ago their track Kalimba on "Cosmic Pint Glass". But to change a bit the game, here is the Marvin & Guy's Afterhour Mix, a long 10 mn epic cut you'd already wish to hear at 6am. in a summer beach festival on those "hands in the air" euphoric moments ! Superfriends is the new label from Andhim; a label that captures the pair’s charm and ebullience, not only from their past releases but also serves as a stylistic trajectory to date; one that has moved from gentle eclecticism through infinite fun into a refined and contagiously unique electronic sound.

Andhim have over the last decade cultivated an exceptionally loyal fan base of musical lovers and peers alike; that continue to crave the German pairs musical agility and action packed forays.

Superfriends is far from a obvious tick in andhim’s career “to do list” but a strong clue that they are capably poised to continue their anti-intellectualism approach to everything they do.

The international colours of andhim continue to reach all corners of the dance floor focusing less on the narrative and more on the big and fun– Superfriends is set to be an outlet for the production/DJ duo’s most ambitious ideas. An independent exercise in only the finest studio output from themselves but those that inspire, influence and impress.

The first release “Tosch EP” is pristine in production and devoid of existing label noise, where powerfully subtle melodies can sit side by side with immersive dance floor heavy electronic music.

“Tosch EP” signals the pairs desire to remain multifaceted in approach and DIY in execution while also slowly revealing the imagination behind it. Without doubt one of hottest releases of 2017 coming from the always excellent @cursesforever on @throneofblood.  Release date is this coming Wednesday, 10th May.

Three years after his “Call the Doctor” EP, Luca “Curses” Venezia returns to Throne of Blood with “Tutto Nudo.” The digital only EP was written after a move to Berlin and is infused with the fetishist sleaze of his new home, cementing a transformation from the rockabilly influences of his past project DROP THE LIME into a drug chug more fitting with the dirtier corners of European clubs he now frequents.
 
This new Curses sound is on display in three original tracks.  “Tutto Nudo”, the title track is a well-rounded number with heavy guitar hook and bassline, elevated by polished drums and synths. Think Italian horror film goes to the disco.  We reckon its a killer and an early frontrunner for track of the year.

This supported by two other originals “Canini” a nod to Luca's roots and the slowest of the three “This Is All A Dream”.
 
Two remixes complete the EP: “Tutto Nudo” gets reworked by Timothy “Heretic” Clerkin, the always dapper Briton with a penchant for acid. Then “Canini” gets flipped on its head by Australian musical shaman and co-founder of the Multi Culti imprint, Dreems.

bORDEL Records is back with a single taken from Turbotito’s last EP on the label, ‘It’s Always The Same’, back in May. This time it comes with innovative remixes from Kasper Bjorke and Gemini Brothers. As well as his solo work as Turbotito, Filip Nikolic is also a producer for the likes of Bonde Do Role, Azealia Banks, Baby Alpaca and many more. He runs his own outlet for his material and on this release worked with vocalist Baby Alpaca to serve up a track with a strong emotional impact. This glistening but downbeat pop single, ‘Different’ features a deep and sombre speech about love and what’s left of it, in regard to what we are doing to nature and our environment. It comes with its own video which finds New York City underwater with only one man left. Danish producer and hfn music artist known for his immersive disco house and pop LPs Kasper Bjorke is the first to remix. He flips the track into a superbly slow burning six minute number with tumbling drums, the original’s pained vocals and some loose percussion to help move the groove along. He also provides a top dub mix that strips the vocals and has more focus on the rueful keys and heavy drums. The final remix is from Romanian producers and twins Gemini Brothers. The Skint and Night Noise associates go for something more swirling and synth heavy, with cosmic chords and icy hi hats taking you on a mid-tempo house journey. This is a tasteful package of tender house and disco sounds that will inject any set with real feelings.
