Melómana Records' latest release, reference number 42, is distinguished by the collaboration of two renowned artists from the label, Stockholm Syndrome and Tronik Youth. This release includes two original tracks that blend genres like electro, EBM, dark disco, and new wave among others, characterized by the intensive use of strident synthesizers and a robust and forceful rhythmic base, elements that guarantee their effectiveness on the dance floors.

The original tracks are complemented by three innovative remixes: Gameboyz, Mexican producer TH3OS, and French artist Cate Hortl add new dimensions to the EP's sound. "Viodance," the track that opens the release, stands out with its catchy riff and funk elements, combined with hypnotic vocals and complex arpeggios that transport the listener to another era. "Fascinated" raises the rhythm with a dark disco style bass and an arpeggiated synthesizer line that transports us to futuristic new dimensions of the dance floors.

Gameboyz's remix of "Viodance" incorporates an electro sound with marked percussions and acid sequences that capture the listener's attention from the very first moment. Meanwhile, TH3OS adds a dark, minimal, and techno dimension to the sametrack, using the original arpeggio line to create a sensory journey filled with hypnotic rhythms. We are proud to present the 097th release from Golden Soul Records, an EP that showcases the undeniable talent of Pumuky, a central figure in the Madrid electronic scene. With deep roots in old-school culture, Pumuky delivers two tracks where the acid sound comes to life, driven by powerful basslines that take center stage. Legendary New York artist Justin Strauss takes on the first remix adding a vocal that sounds like it was always meant to be underpinned by an exquisite liquid bassline. Thomass Jackson is up next with a beautifully quirky rendition that feels like an after party for which you want to be invited. Kaputt club resident Nuclear Digital Transistor rounds out the EP with a percussive version that brings out the guitars from the original in a new light and we gotta say if uniquely fitting basslines are your thing Nuclear Digital Transistor seals the deal on this four track EP.

Teniente Castillo - Two To Tango (Nuclear Digital Transistor Remix) [Roam Recordings]

After having released on AEON and Roam Recordings, Franz Matthews returns home on his  HIFI/LOFI imprint by releasing his Symmetric Dance EP, showing us once more how the  producer likes to play with the codes of House, Space Disco, and Indie Dance by intertwining  them and turning them into his very own secret sauce.
 
The trip starts with the eponymous Symmetric Dance, where a faster-than-usual Franz brings us into the groove  with a deep bass line supporting the words of a sort of musical guru, leading you (yes, you.) progressively into  the ecstatic moment of the Symmetric Dance, here materialised by a catchy house-y piano part that later exploses  into a festival of notes before coming back to an infamous rhythm that we dare you not to dance to. Is it summer  yet ? Yes, probably. 

Moving on to Zero Gravity, we step into a fast-paced ride of cosmic synth escapades that take our vehicle on a  full throttle run until it has left the launching ramp and floats into mid-air, not really knowing when or where it will  land. But, just as you finished catching your breath again, you land back on earth, full speed, and navigate in the  middle of another asteroid galaxy tour, taking a few Machs along the way until it is time for the next bump. Will  you land back on your feet this time ? Yes, probably. 

Closing the cosmic ride, the slower ‘Herbie Crashed The Party’ is a progressive burner constructed around a  centre ARP2600 synth line evolving throughout the whole track and being joined by funky guitars, heady synth  ornementations, and a stabby brass ensemble that opens up the door to what seems to be the ghost of an  unusual guest as the party goes on, which makes us wonder if it was a good idea to let Herbie Hancock in at the  party ? And again we will answer : Yes, probably.

Radial Gaze and Geopard Tourist present Cactus Chronicles, a captivating EP on the Epicure Records label. In the studio the red lights flickered abruptly upon the various machinery. He had spent decades collecting obscurities and instruments of fortune, the bits and bobs from behind the scenes that no man would risk their money upon. Now within his tiny room he spent every single night jamming away at the meandering hardware in a robust attempt to bring it all back to life. Few from the outside world were familiar with his methodology or plans but soon they would be at the mercy of his mind and matter. 

DJ OIL returns to the infamous Lddlm with a three track EP of weighty prominence and abstract electronics. It would be unjust to simply describe them as dancefloor orientated but they work bloody well. Seek and you will find.
