Electronic Traxx (2020) Part 7.

Roam alumni Freudenthal teams up with Jake the Rapper to deliver a nostalgic homage to 1982. In sound, mood, and feeling the original takes it to the 80s with fun and kitsch underpinned by stylish drums, synthesizers, and electronics.

 The single is backed by two expert remixes by Darlyn Vlys and Lauer. Darlyn Vlys offers a stripped back punchy version while keeping true to the mood of the original. Lauer strips it back even further with vocoders and an 808 and while it deviates from the original it too could just as easily come out of the 80s. Rounding it out is an instrumental version of the original because sometimes you just want the instrumental.

The combination of Niv and Darlyn gave birth to 3 tracks, all are influenced by Rock n’ Roll, Acid & Pop, with catchy hooks that will stay with you for days &  kick n’ bass that will lift up every dance floor.
In ‘All I Need’ we dive into distorted guitars and  Niv Ast’s voice where we “live with devils everywhere” as this hit of a tune keep on telling us. 
In ‘Konark’ we elevate to a higher dimension with the rolling snares, the uplifting vocals and the groovy bass.
And finally we’re going deeper and hazier with ‘Numb Dumb’ where the we begin our trip with psychadelic chopped vocals which turns into a proper 303 acid banger.

Some semi-avantgarde ambient jazz stuff with the Xtreme Lead and Beat Garden rom cards for my Proteus 2000 rompler. Drums programmed from a kit called Mantis. There is no limit to what fun you can come up with using these old Romplers. The sound is crisp and clear, not over the top. Hit the arpeggio and add some dirty delay. More fun than VA I would say as the sounds are very diverse and useful right away due to preprocessing thru all kinds of hot outboard. Illustration by DeepAI

Nasanieru aka Nasan is a 21 year old lofi house producer based from Los Angeles, CA. Nasan started producing at the age of 11 and grew his craft from Todd Edward's inspirations, Ross from Friends, Daft Punk, Roche Musique, Justice, MSTRKRFT, The Cure, Theo Parrish and Leon Vynehall...the early exposure to these artists have transformed into Nasan's grooved up lofi house sounds.

At 18 he decided to work for a blog that's based in France called "Do You Like That Song" , nd eventually became friends, and received mentoring from Todd Edwards, Patlok, YUKSEK and the crew at Roche Musique.

It's crazy how synths and sounds go in and out in this forward-thinking electronic music piece.
