Friends, it is time for a finish. Here’s the seventh and last chapter of the festivities that Uncanny Valley crew put together for this 50th catalogue number. Once again, the mighty graphics wizards Doppeldenk from Leipzig provided a delightfull artwork. And once again, you’ll get a record that sports a kaleidoscope of dance music from Uncanny Valley veterans and newcomers. This time with the emphasis on bright and positive timbres which can be associated with the colour yellow.

PREMIERE #1064 | Panthera Krause - The Naked Now [Uncanny Valley] 2020

Producer Plastico has been experimenting and playing for a long time, with a unique sound. Now he lands on Melómana Records with Ghetto House, an album consists of four original tracks and a remix of the great Alejandro Paz. The album, oriented to the dance floor, is presented with the firm intention of giving a necessary and demanding twist to the dancefloor. The whole of this album is the summary of many days fiddling with exceptional analog synthesizers, until finding a sound full of color, organic and meandering, which manages to filter through each pore of the skin until we are completely electrified. Each track gets the listener out of himself, open his mind and light the flame of hope, in a world where it seems that he has lost all idea of the future. And more, in a situation like the one we are experiencing, such an album is a breath of fresh air. Plastico tries to transmit his particular personality and vital project in this deep and personal Guetto House, timeless and full of strength, to which we will go over time trying to decipher that magical and complex mechanism that manages to transcend all the expectations of dance music.

The bar was lined with shot glass after shot glass, each one emptied quickly by the raucous crowd that had set up camp there since doors opened. It was barely past lunch but many were already half cut. Over excitement had got the better of them, or perhaps they'd simply forgotten how to handle their drink after so long spent in lock down. But a few wobbles and several empty wallets didn't matter, it was the weekend and they had no prior engagements to attend to, except for those that involved a full glass... 

After their sole release from 2004 was re-upped by none other than Solomun, French duo Kimshies decided to return to the studio last year after a 15 year hiatus. After two releases last year they make their debut on Mexico's Duro, the label run by Theus Mago AKA Bufi, with two original cuts that get the rework treatment from an all star cast. The distorted synths and acid lines of title track ‘Fucked Up Mama’ are twisted into new forms by Life & Death and Disco Halal label mate Autarkic, Belgium's Cabaret Nocturne and La Dame Noir alumni Arthur Johnson who offers up two takes; a driving upbeat re-imagination and a gritty analogue version.

Amit Kedem is Producer, DJ and house lover, based in Tel Aviv. He started as a drummer from the age of ten, the rhythmic and musical roots stayed active and relevant. Combined with the passion to perform, play music and partying. It all led to learning music production and then DJing. Organizing some random parties on the local rooftops, which later on have found their way to the clubs. He is Resident DJ and founder of “Discolor”. Running at Tel Aviv.

Exclusive: Petbrick - Guacamole Handshake (Fango Remix)

It's time to continue the noise. After the release of Petbrick's debut album I last year, the duo consisting of Wayne Adams and Iggor Cavalera, selected various and musically diverse artists to take on remix duties for the band's remix album project, namely I Remixed. Italian mastermind Fango, known for his percussive influenced (techno) approaches on music, reworked Guacamole Handshake and delivers a musical piece that could not have a clearer handwriting of an artist than this one. As soon as the bass sets in Guacamole Handshake becomes a Fango-thon, or in other words a groovey rhythmical track with slightly bouncing beats in different variations and nuances. Fango's take sounds simple, yet contains so many facets, so many drums and sounds that it pulls the listener into an undertow of percussions before the noise finds its way into the track to break open this rhythmic harmony for a few seconds. 

Petbrick's I Remixed will be released on Rocket Recordings on July 31st, 2020.

"Danger & Love in Paradise" is an amalgamation of the British label Zone Focus' cultural fascinations. Inspired by the likes of Vice City, Drive and Giorgio Moroder, for their annual themed compilation project, they sought out artists that create and craft neo-nostalgic sounds. A retro musical direction drove the selection process, pulling tracks from Italo Disco and Indie Dance genres. Each of the twelve hand-picked artists added a distinctive sonic uniqueness to the album. Cosmic, groovy, and melodic club-ready works, all designed to timewarp the aural sense. Among the artists invited to the compilation, some personal favourites of ours: Vanity Project, Alex Aguayo, Hanzo & Yaman (SXDNS065), and Fabio Me Llaman Soltero (SXDNS187).

The track we chose to premiere, by Alex Aguayo, is an energetic and vibrant Italo/Cosmic Disco-influenced masterpiece. "Don't Let Go" is one of those tunes that possess an aura so vivid and frantic that it is kind of forbidden to listen to it without delivering yourself to dance. Even alone in your living room or balcony: Just do it!

Akin to previous releases, proceeds from this compilation will be donated to a charitable cause, specifically the WHO coronavirus relief fund. The contributions will go towards helping doctors and medical staff across the world, assisting them in battling the pandemic.

“Quixotical Records” is a united Argentina/Lithuania record label, music channel and party organizer opened on 2020 by Emmanuel Poulper and Aurum Miles. The main direction of this project is indie & mysterious waves. Drama, sex and dark feelings, never losing groove, oriented to special moments. It is driven by disco and techno influences with EBM flashes and electro pieces.

"QXT001" compilation is a first official release of Quixotical Records. Various Artists album with 16 artists and 13 tracks. It is going to be a great surprise to everyone who is into indie-dance, dark disco and electronic music.

Globemaster is a Mexican sound engineer and producer born in Torreón, co-founder of Próximo, and part of teamwork of Maleante Records.
His influences are rock, some post-punk, and rave music, which leads him up to techno, psychedelic, and indie dance mixed sounds.
