The mix represents finding a quiet space, diving into a parallel universe within the confines of the paper, and through written word expanding your own interpretations and ideas.

For this recording I selected a handful of avant-garde/ambient records from Japan, music that floats around your ears rather than intrudes, aimed to be perfect for reading words.

“Bridging Mexican Ancestral Wisdom and Healing Practices: Mitotili, derived from the Mexican Nahuatl Huichol term meaning sacred ritual and ceremony, is a transformative project by Cristina Bucardo that aims to connect ancient Mexican wisdom with modern healing practices.

It serves as a secure space where individuals can establish meaningful connections while integrating traditional Mexica energetic work with a contemporary expression of Prehispanic music.

⁣Frinda di Lanco & Hendrik Stein from Berlin are pushing airwaves together since 2018. A DJ duo with a deep love for obscure vinyl records and a wild and vibrant mixture ranging from AOR, cosmic, italo, library and disco that never fails to surprise us with the unexpected. Together the couple is spreading joy on dance floors all over Europe. With 'Avec Plaisir' the two founded their own label imprint and re-released an enchanting collection of Austrian Cosmic tracks from the ’90s. We hope you enjoy this wonderful selection as much as we do.


Frinda & Hendrik on their mix : “After listening to the recording from lovely RIAA Bar in September, we decided to go for exactly the same vibe – since that night was special in many ways. It only happened because our gig at Pudel got cancelled due to a double-booking but we had our train tickets already. So instead of bringing a selection of Italian Disco and dance music to Hamburg, we focussed on those records which we usually play to close friends in a home-listening context and that have a certain place in our hearts. At this night we also met Andrea who was enjoying our selection a lot and asked us if we’d like to record this mix you’re just about to listen.“ 💫

The hypnotic folk music of the Ainu a cappella group Marewrew receives the second of two remix treatments. Part 02 is dedicated to dub music. It’s a 7'' single by Elijah Minnelli and Peter Presto, complete with remixes by Contact Field Orchestra, Cloud Management and Andi Otto in the digital package.

"This is not really a “dj” mix…the styles are too diverse to make any coherent segueing possible except on a couple of occasions, with music ranging from the dark melancholic experimentalism of Einstürzende Neubauten to the uplifting polyrhythmic songs of Zawose Queens…and a multitude of styles in between. 

In my opinion a wide range of styles fits the purpose of radio better than a DJ mix…but, in truth, I’m probably just finding an excuse to justify the many moods I’m experiencing lately. And I bought a new A9 mixer recently which allows for an external effects send so I plugged in my Space Echo pedal which I usually use with live shows and tried to blend the unblendable behind a wash of delays and feedback! I hope you enjoy the journey."
