Iptamenos Discos is back with another collaborative EP by label heads Local Suicide, who have once again teamed up with Skelesys to provide their stunning ‘In Space We Roam’ EP.

The four-track EP includes two original tracks and two remixes by Psycho Weazel and Neu-Romancer. It will be available on limited 12” vinyl, all streaming & download platforms and is set to release on August 4th, 2023.

This scorching new offering follows the trio’s highly acclaimed sensation ‘Moustache’, which amassed an impressive quarter-million streams on Spotify alone and garnered support from renowned artists like Erol Alkan, Joyce Muniz and Curses among others. Far from slowing down, the trio also released EPs together on Snap, Crackle & Pop, Samo Records and on compilations by Eskimo Recordings, Ombra INTL, Logical Records and Sum Over Histories.

DJ/Producer duo & couple, and Iptamenos Discos label founders Brax Moody and Vamparela, make up Local Suicide. They are known for coining the term ‘Technodisco’, which describes their influential and distinctive sound that combines elements of New Wave, EBM, Disco, and Techno. Joining them once again in this project is their long-time friend and collaborator, Skelesys, a Berlin-based Argentinian producer, DJ, and live act. Drawing inspiration from a myriad of influences, including hard rock, sci-fi and horror, his works straddle the line between post-punk, wave and future influences, resulting in a trademark genre-blending and unmistakable sound.

The first tune and title track ‘In Space We Roam’, focuses on a dark rolling baseline and soft mystical vocals that suggest “the future is now”. Accompanied with punchy drums, floaty synths, and glitchy spaceship like sounds, this tune is sure to take you in to a space of your own. The intricate combination of layers evokes images of a galactic journey towards an uncertain fate. Rising from the ether, a delicate melody intertwines around sorrowful sirens to bring a glimmer of hope to the track. This tune aims to make the listener feel that we are all part of a journey together. Forever adapting and changing in ourselves, we are also sure to feel a collective sense of growth and discovery. No one is alone in the moments that we roam.

The second track, ‘Surface of the Sun’ is a hot one. Pun...intended. Diverging from the softer and mystical vocals of the title song, this tune moves us towards the dark side. A forceful, mysterious and punchy baseline is accompanied by a deep vocal, grooving synths and lush pads to make you feel, well, hot. This is the kind of tune that you want to hear when everyone is feeling collectively sweaty and sexy. Like the sun melts all that enters too close, this tune is sure to melt you too.

Hailing from Switzerland, the rising duo Psycho Weazel provide a darkly beautiful remix of the ‘In Space We Roam’, showcasing the intricate style that earned them collaborations with labels and venues worldwide. Defying expectations with an almost summery vibe just in time for festival season, their version alternates between an almost overwhelming tension and a strangely evocative melody for an intoxicating effect.

Neu-Romancer is a musician, producer, and DJ originally from Fremantle in Western Australia and now based in Berlin. Despite her tight schedule as the bassist on Zanias’ live-tour, the ever-busy artist delivers a joyful remix of ‘Surface Of The Sun’, that increases the tempo and adds upbeat and blissful synths, gritty drums, melodic plucks and musing pads with faded echoes and ethereal whispers intermingle above the haunting growl, creating an otherworldly atmosphere.

With a wide variety of emotions and sonic landscapes, the ‘In Space We Roam' EP is another invigorating addition to the Iptamenos Discos catalogue. The full EP will be released August 4th, 2023 on 12” vinyl and digital.

Like any collaboration born from an idea, the quarantine forced Cali Burton and Ricardo Ruben to continue working online on the sound that the context was creating. The inevitable track was immersed in its verse: "Los amigos, fuimos clandestinos, privados de ser, privados de andar, con nuestro estilo", a cry from the depths or perhaps a longing in search of reviving the raver life, of trying to exorcise ourselves and learn from how the prohibition could also generate positive ways for creativity and yields its rewards. "Ritmo Furtivo" was their way of connecting from a distance, secretly, under the same beat.
A track full of "Madchenster" flavours and “West Coast” end 90’s /early 2000's psychedelic funk-house spirit from the golden era of label as Grayhound or Exist Dance.

Duro Label is pleased to announce the release of the eleventh installment in the 'Muy Duro' series. 'Muy Duro Vol 11' showcases a carefully curated selection of tracks produced by Apollon Telefax, Anastasia Zems, Tierra de Ovnis, A-Tweed X Oltrefuturo, and Visionnaire.

The compilation kicks off strongly with "Uma Batida Do Barulho Dos Passos Do Gato" by Russian producer Apollon Telefax. This playful, hypnotic, and powerful cut takes listeners on a nocturnal and psychedelic journey, where arpeggios dance while bass and drums keep everyone bouncing to the rhythm of the night's energy. We continue with "Space Alarm" by Anastasia Zems, a genuine sedative and mind-bending banger that leaves the audience eager for more.

From Mexico, Tierra de Ovnis presents "Mística," a molten, rhythmic, and fun piece. The rhythmic section keeps us in orbit while the melody transports us through mysterious and distant passages. A-Tweed makes his return to Duro Label, this time accompanied by Oltrefuturo with "Panthera," a lysergic and percussive track. Voices wrap around the audience like luminous trails, while drums and bass keep the momentum.

The compilation culminates with "Parigi Vienna" by Visionnaire, a fresh and resonant cut hailing from Italy. With electrifying bass, relaxing pads, hypnotic arpeggios, and sensual vocals, Visionnaire masterfully concludes 'Muy Duro Vol 11.'

Colombia’s Kaputt Club returns with another sterling various artist release featuring a host of talent that showcases the best in dark disco, electronica, electro and much more. 

2020 saw the Bogota based club launch their eponymous imprint with a far reaching compilation, dropping tracks from a host of artists that perfectly represent the Kaputt sound as they further cement their position as a beacon of the Colombian underground. Now they are back with ten new and exclusive cuts which transcends the club and explores the human impact on the planet, and how nature came back to reclaim their land. 

Born in quarantine when nature sounded much louder than usual, VozTerra a local non-profit organization invited people to listen to nature in 'Sounds from your window'. People in Colombia and around the world took the opportunity of the isolation to listen and record ths sounds of nature. The material, together with soundscapes previously recorded in the Van der Hammen Reserve and in the La Conejera Wetland, in Bogotá, were given to DJs from the electronic music scene to create musical pieces which are now part of the ‘Reserva/Voz Terra’ compilation. 

The alliance of Kaputt.wav, VozTerra and the Museum for the United Nations - UN Live, is the compilation of unconventional actions that musicians and people from all over the world took to express their interest in caring for nature with the hope of inspiring people to take action to care for biodiversity and mitigate climate change. 

Things get underway with ‘Suba-Cota 1996’ from local talent Vilamarea, offering up a succinct opener of warm electronica with rich cinematic pads. Berlin based Curses taken up the baton next with the ethereal and hypnotic ‘Until the Fire Stops’ before Colombia’s Julio Victoria picks up the pace with acid tinged ‘Regreso’. Argentinian and Calypso Records boss Thomass Jackson joins forces with the ever impressive Local Suicide duo for the wonderfully chuggy workout that is ‘The Snitch’ and another Berlin resident in the shape of Bogota’s MiaHush then drops the arpeggiated roller, ‘Siempre Viva’ replete with 80’s inspired synth lines. The compilations second half sees chunky electro from Scadta, syncopated rhythms and rich chords from Nuclear Digital Transistor and some Italo inspired brilliance from Bordeaux’s Dombrance. Completing the package we have the deeply delicious ‘Marcha’ from Kabinett and a final closing opus from Kat Yusti in the shape of ‘Bestia’. ‘
