In my author's version of the track "Один в каное - У мене немає дому" ("One in a Canoe - I Have No Home"), I took on the revision of the original not because it was bad, but rather because I saw potential in it for a deeper and higher-quality sound. The original undoubtedly sounded good, but I felt it could be even stronger and more emotional.

My author's version of the track was created with love for the original material and with a desire to breathe new life into it. I aimed to make it more modern and groovy, ensuring that every note and every moment sounded as they should. By changing the arrangement, adding new sonic textures, and giving the composition a new character, I wanted to emphasize its power and beauty, making it more relevant and appealing to contemporary audiences.

My goal was not just to change the track, but to improve it while preserving its uniqueness and spirit. As a result, I created a version that, I hope, captivates listeners and inspires them just as much as the original inspired me.

After having released their 3rd album “Les Pieds Dans La Merde, La Tête Dans Les Etoiles”, Berlin based duo @Joy-Wellboy are back with a single in  “Here Is Where I Belong”

In their own words “This song is about embracing the present moment. Even if the moment is difficult and you can't see clearly where you are going, because you are surrounded by darkness. You should always trust your instincts. Take good care of yourself. Stay fit. Focus. Strongly believe in your dreams. Imagination can transform everything. Just go with the flow. Don't be afraid. There's no need to fight. Don't waste your energy with overthinking situations and searching for answers. Just be patient. Walk step by step. It will all explain itself eventually. Surrender to life itself. It's all part of the plan. Everything happens for a reason. And what's for you will not pass you by.”

Amsterdam based friend of the band Niels Docter aka. @DoctrMusic , who is best known for his italo flavoured releases on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Music For Dreams and Silhouette Music, was asked to be part of the remixing collective. He has turned the original into a sensual slow disco jam and brings the song into an entire new cosmic world. He manages to slowly build up tension as the song evolves into a theme that might take some listeners beyond the stars.

The remix is the first in a series of 5 remixes which all will be released over the course of the following months on @SizzerMusic.
