Back with a B side, Komodo (@komodo-jkt) aptly names the track “Slow burning” with blissful countermelodies that intertwine with arpeggiated synths, sludgy 303’s and propulsive drums that create a hypnotic timbre. This dance floor absurdity is taken from Komodo’s upcoming release “Running Into The Sun” for “Not an animal” records (@notananimalrecords) which was born from the party debris left uncleaned from London’s infamous Bad Passion parties, originally ran by Chris Stoker and Andy Bainbridge.

Our pick from this release is Latrec’s interpretation of “Slow burning” adding their intrusive Techno remix with a sub-bass driveline that completes this quintessential release.

label. Industria is not just about music, but also products, art and more.
The Vinyl is limited Edition of 200 Records. 190 are w/ transparent plastic cover
and hand Numbered. 10 Copies will be part of INDUSTRIA LIMITED Show
happening in September and will feature Screen prints on the plastic Cover.
This record one can say was planned a while back when Robi had a DJ gig together with Vox Low. The next day while meeting in the lobby for a late coffee and a croissant in a quiet Bordeaux Hotel, the idea came for a swap Remix on Vinyl.
When Robi started Industria, he still had in mind that the second Vinyl release could be that swap. Guess both Artist coming from a similar background and working in a similar analog organic style liked the idea and knew what they would get sound wise would be something both have plenty to play with.
On the A side Vox Low remixed Robi’s HARD WORK, which was already released
in 2018 including a remix by Die Wilde Jagd. Vox Low turned the track into a dark more dancefloor orientated version. Still with the trademark Vox Low sounds and Guitars.
On the B side Robi remixed You Are A Slave. He liked all the sounds so much that he thought it is better to keep as much from the original as possible, still trying to make it his own version. He added percussion to create a more funky/dark sound and extended the track. The dub was done in an old school kind of way. All the parts where laid out on a mixer and assigned to various tape delays and reverbs and would be dubbed real time, in the school of Mad Professor or Lee Perry. Not an easy approach and it needed several takes till it started making sense. All mistakes and organic things where important to this Dub.
Robi will be hosting an INDUSTRIA Limited exhibition later in the year, which will
show the direction the label is going.

Since the Covid-19 lockdown began the music and events industry has been thrown into unchartered waters, leaving artists and online media in a financially vulnerable position, and with much more time on their hands.

To help some of those artists, and provide Ransom Note with much-needed financial support, in April we reached out to some friends of the website with the challenge to make a track in collaboration with another producer, musician or vocalist, remotely. The result was ‘Pen Pals’, a compilation featuring 15 collaborations. 

Following the reception of the first release, we decided to embark on volume two, enlisting a fresh group of artists and musicians to take up the challenge. 40 artists stepped up to the plate and 19 tracks were produced culminating in a compilation spanning a vast musical breadth.

Due to the current situation we’ve increased royalties for all artists involved and, whilst the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions apply, accounting will be processed fortnightly. Profits from the compilation will also provide financial support for Ransom Note who have been heavily impacted by the halt of the events industry. 

On Juneteenth (19/06/2020) we will donate all profits from sales to Black Minds Matter - a UK charity making mental health topics relevant and accessible for all black people. On this date Bandcamp will be matching all sales with a donation to NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Cosmic dance and spatial atmospherics are at the very centre of Zakmina’s productions, as the Lithuanian producer readies an appetizing EP for Dave Harvey’s Futureboogie, backed with a remix from the always on-point Gnork.

With releases already wetting our ears on Critical Monday, XXX and Roam Recordings, Zakmina spreads his wings across three new cuts.  ‘Church Of Madness’ pumps with oodles of new beat drums and soaring synths, anchored by a fat arpeggiated bassline, whilst ‘Déjà vu’ is a first class chugger, its drums as big as 80’s shoulder pads, with glacial keys and breezy vocals comprising the seductive sensations on offer here.  

The Balearic synth-pop vibes of ‘Running Amore’ complete the trio of originals from Zakmina, whilst Gnork lays down the lino and tweaks ‘Church Of Madness’ into a solid 808 drum driven ‘Ezoteric Breakdance’ Remix. The beetle headed man renewed the hot sun everyday before rolling it above the horizon and carrying it away through to the other world after sunset only to renew it again the next day. The third instalment from Jac The Disco's 'Spin on This' output delivers the slow chugging affair of 'Hot Like The Sun' The EP features remixes from London's Kiwi who over the years has created a sound all of his own which has gained support from the likes of DJ Harvey, DJ Tennis and Optimo to name a few. 'Magic Feet' label boss Craig Bratley also features here. Craig himself has earned himself a solid reputation as a producer and re mixer with an eclectic output on respected labels such as Future Boogie, Throne of Blood, Tsuba, Instruments Of Rapture and Claremont 56. Who knew where she'd come from and what magnificent spirit had brought her to life beneath the cloak of darkness and the dancing stars. The way in which she moved was fascinating and perplexing, dancing atop the sand as the wind howled and the rain poured. It were as if she was commanding some great orchestra, up there in the sky, as the thunder crashed and the bangs of drums echoed between the clouds. She was god, her name was Hestia. 

Inflect Records are set to release a compilation of new material from an assortment of artists, proto disco, italo, acid and beyond on a fun filled record set to move dancefloors and festivals. This track, "Hestia", features on the release, an arpeggio driven affair by JackWasFaster.
