Hailing from Oslo, Norway, Trulz Kvam and Robin Crafoord have so much in common when it comes to music that they are like “one person with four arms in the studio”. Despite having particular influences, the two friends ace in seaming their individualities and mutualities together in order to deliver their characteristic sonority.

Featuring nine originals plus two Club Edits of “Inside Of Me” and “U Get Some” and one Instrumental Mix of “This Is Love”, their forthcoming album, “Out of Sync”, coming soon on Snick Snack Music, is a true showcase of the duo’s capabilities and inventiveness and embraces as many House Music styles as you can possibly imagine plus a couple of impossible-to-pigeonhole stuff, like the theme we were solicited to premiere.

“Divine Electricity” is an intricate and out-of-the-box cut with a powerful attitude triggered by its invigorating breakbeat gait and heavy acid atmosphere. The icing on the cake is the unyielding vocals by Chuc Frazier.

How great it is that in our time there are such talented musicians who are able to combine different genres and create something new and unique! 

Vityaz Ep has landed, which is an excellent example of how modern indie dance rhythms, dark disco motifs and nu disco groove can be combined together. Each track on this release simply amazes with its beauty and depth. 

The breathless rythm of the closing track "Voevoda" compels you to dance. The harmonious blend of synthesizers and arpeggiators creates a unique atmosphere that helps you escape from everyday problems and simply enjoy the music. Despite the potential sadness in the mood, it seems to evoke strong emotions and a sense of being alive. Above all, the "Vityaz EP" offers a rich musical experience with its genre-blending tracks.

PREMIERE: Eliana Noé - Linn Meets Jarre

@Meant Records welcome accomplished Parisian producer @Tim-Paris for an EP that features two standout originals and two brilliant remixes from Cosmo Vitelli and SONNS.

Over a glittering career, Paris has of course collaborated with Ivan Smagghe, run his own Marketing Music label and turned out a diverse album, ‘Dancers’, for My Favorite Robot. From jacking electro to rugged new wave via freaky house, he has a fully formed palette that is distinguishable by his raw sense of groove and texture.

‘Version B’, features Sex Judas and has a metallic and melodic bassline that runs round the scales in off kilter fashion. Sci-fi pads and bright stabs all add colour to this dystopian disco track as it bumps along and sweeps you up.

Remixer @SONNS has a seriously accomplished discography on labels like Kompakt and ESP Institute. He flips the track into a loose, flabby chugger with tons of reverb on the guitar lines and spooky synths that wither and wilt. It’s tough disco of the sort that Andrew Weatherall and Ivan Smagghe will love.
