Big room techno maestro and melancholic selector "Works Of Intent" joins forces with model and lyricist "Gray" to deliver this scintillating slice of New York House homage.

The original 1988 copy is a dry witted take on the realities of the American dream, and the pursuit for fame and fortune. A working class cabbie with dreams of being a singer, has to take the train from New Jersey just to drive his cab. His passenger, an aspiring model with an unconvincing British accent is in town and headed straight to the Vogue building. “Because, that’s where the money’s at.”

The two artists first met in the corridors of SoundCloud. Works had an appreciation of the Techno / Afro House fusion mixes of Gray and she had reciprocal respect for Works’ arp driven, “Big Room” oddities. After an exchange of emails and a gifting of freshly pressed cuts from the hit factory, Gray surprised Works with a vocal rendition of “Winning Dulls The Pain” that blew his proverbial socks off. Since then they’ve been scheming a global formulated takeover.

The pair rework the digger's classic into a modern dancefloor workout, "Gotta Get That Money (Classic Mix)" offers a fresh coat of paint, lyrically exploring a new backstory while meticulously preserving that quintessential vinyl crackle.

The release is paired with "Gotta Get That Money (Big Money Mix)," a typically huge alternate version designed for the superstar DJs whose hands it will inevitably find itself in. With arena rattling subs and ketamine crisis inducing synth lines that rear their ugly head in the last half.

It's sleek, it's sexy, and it oozes early 90s chic.

People of the Light mark their second all-female-produced release with SuperJaimie’s "You in My Dreams", a snappy vocal cut that trades in atmosphere over spectacle. The original moves on clean percussion and hushed chords, letting a soft-focus vocal carry the emotion without crowding the mix.

Jay Hill keeps the intimacy intact while nudging the drums forward for more club certainty whilst keeping the vibe strong. Meanwhile Subjacent takes a different route, streamlining into deep, driving Techno drums with a tougher low end and fewer adornments, then pares it back further on the Dub by removing the vocal for tool-room utility. An Instrumental rounds out the release for DJs who prefer the mood without the vocal.

It’s a versatile package that works from warm-up to late hours, quietly confident and continuing People of The Lights track record of bringing together some incredible artists at the top of their game.

Nuru MacNamara - Savile Row

The reborn of the label: Killax is back with this 4 tracks EP by the owner Kid Mark.
A journey that starts with the soulful vocal track "You're My Star", a perfect opening that gets you in the right mood. The EP continue with "Me & You": here we have that funky thing we all love. After that "The Matter (Dub)" increases the heat with classic house drums mixed with a heavy bassline. The EP ends with "Here 4 You": M1 organ and strong drums, the perfect match for a club track.

Exploited Club warmly welcome in Pleasure Voyage who step up to the plate and do as they do best: casting out a wide musical net, gathering in influences from Breaks, House, Disco, Balearic and Funk whilst pulling in a hefty dose of fun, flair and ecstasy to boot.

'Cuánto Cuesta' is a simmering pot of pure joy. A bubbling bass line has the track on a low boil throughout while luscious, buoyant synths intimately jostle alongside bold but allaying piano chords. Classic breaks snap in the back while a gently acidic lead flexes in and out of focus and the resultant groove sends out a clear and cosy invitation to get loose.

A regular on Johannes Albert's Frank Music's label and Tensnake's True Romance, Claus Casper chips in with his 'No Tengo Dinero' remix - a fortified revision that packs an extra punch with a layered snare, cow bells and an open hat that seasons the groove with a little bite and snap.

Rolling snare fills punctuate the track as Claus creates ramps for sections that showcase his indisputable chops on the keys. The passion and heat of the orignal remains intact as progress tumbles towards a long, spine-tingling breakdown that pops wide open in a manner that will send the floor absolutely nuts.

@sonar-kollektiv  'Based on Misunderstanding' series is designed as a testing ground for new talents. Now up to a 9th essential instalment, it has unearthed some real stars and this latest one does the same again with a new single from @rubakpo

French outfit RüBA KPØ is not a veteran hard rock group like the name might suggest, but rather a four-headed hydra that formed in 2009 and since then has made a big impact in the dance scene. A prime release on King Sound Music in 2013 kick started the project and after that they have appeared on Nanotech Records, Expréssilon Records and more, always with a truly compelling techno sound.

Their standout single here is ‘We Are World’. A minimalistic techno track with an extra overwhelming bassline and a mad acid arpeggio, it also features a whimsical, pastoral choir that carries you off into heaven each time their voices ring out.

Our pick of the release though was the remix by Croatian pair and Compost Records regulars Eddy & Dus (@eddy-meets-yannah and @zvonimir-dusper-dus) that takes the sense of mischief in the original and really runs with it into a playful disco universe. More inviting and laid back, it is a lushly musical piece that encourages you to cut loose in the most charming of ways.

(working abroad regularly in Turkey,Israel,London(among some of the cities get work and countries) The stile is becoming more progressive,but always with a dinamic rythm!always underground,but with concesions!
