Like any collaboration born from an idea, the quarantine forced Cali Burton and Ricardo Ruben to continue working online on the sound that the context was creating. The inevitable track was immersed in its verse: "Los amigos, fuimos clandestinos, privados de ser, privados de andar, con nuestro estilo", a cry from the depths or perhaps a longing in search of reviving the raver life, of trying to exorcise ourselves and learn from how the prohibition could also generate positive ways for creativity and yields its rewards. "Ritmo Furtivo" was their way of connecting from a distance, secretly, under the same beat.
A track full of "Madchenster" flavours and “West Coast” end 90’s /early 2000's psychedelic funk-house spirit from the golden era of label as Grayhound or Exist Dance.

After producing a mesmerizing remix of "Tetra Seeds", the title track of Radial Gaze´EP released on vinyl and digitally via Thisbe Recordings in November 2022, the stars naturally aligned themselves for Dominik Marz to set the scene for more music to be released via the label.

With recent releases on high-profiles labels Innervisions, Huntleys + Palmers and Feines Tier, Dominik Marz makes his debut on Thisbe with a 4-track EP called "Return to Alpha". Yet another masterpiece from the German producer, showcasing what Dominik Marz does best : music at the crossroads between deep house, atmospheric techno and minimal electro. 
The result? A sound that strikes the perfect balance for the audience to straight away immerse itself into Dominik´s world, a unique soundscape well above the clouds, where gravity quickly vanishes to give space for our imagination to take-off and travel far, very far away from the ground. 

With his new EP "Return to Alpha", the Augsburg-based musician has given us another "rendez-vous" somewhere in his own universe where the artist manages, once again, to get the listener to meet in the middle and find nirvana. 

The two singles "Return to Alpha" and "Safe Spaces" are available on a 30 copies limited 12" one-sided transparent vinyl edition available for pre-sale from Friday 02nd of February 2024. While the whole 4-track EP will be available on all streaming platforms on Friday 16th of February 2024.

PREMIERE: Dominik Marz - Change Position [Thisbe Recordings]

Introducing a fantastic new release from Rigopolar and Disto Disco - Spaced Out EP. This 5 track collaboration includes two brand new original tracks, as well as three remixes from stellar artists: Phunkadelica, Cabizbajo & Colossio, and Childs. The EP will release on Rigopolar's own label, Tour De Infinite. 

Rigopolar a.k.a Manuel Castaneda is a Miami based DJ and producer originally from Mexico. He has released previously on Duro, Nazca and most recently on his very own Tour De Infinite. Through a mixture of italo disco and techno, Rigopolar has crafted his expansive sonic universe. His music is inquisitive, and challenges the listener to dive deep and ask big questions along with him. Where do we come from? Where are we going? 

In Spaced Out EP he joins forces with DJ duo Disto Disco. These Mexican party starters know disco inside and out. Their club night Discoteca Seducción has taken them across Mexico and beyond, where they showcase the finest selections of disco, dark disco, italo and indie dance. 

The EP begins with Untitiled, a masterful study on the fundamentals of disco. This 8 minute epic track stretches time - stripped back with a focus on perfecting the core elements of irresistible grooves. Expertly crafted instrumentation which give the track a live, organic feel. A groove that grows on you as it repeats, each element digging a little deeper and hooking you a little more until you’re on the ride with them. 

Moving into title track Spaced Out, which has more of an 80s feel. Space age post-disco with an acid flavour. Like Untitled, Spaced Out has the kind of chord progressions that make you double take. Beautifully crafted harmonies in the synths which transport us to this cosmic space - we're Spaced Out as the name suggests. Its compelling bassline repeats throughout, inviting us in and leaving us in a constant state of suspense. 

The EP is an impressive exploration through indie dance and disco variations, and is certainly not to be missed! Spaced Out EP will release 26th of February, 2024 via Tour De Infinite on all digital and streaming platforms.

Collaboration alert! Two of the most prominent artists amid the so-called Indie Dance & Dark Disco scene, Radial Gaze & Ludviq joined forces for the first time and came up with a mythical EP coming soon on ODD Pleasures in both digital and vinyl formats. Inspired by Hera, Perseus, and Hercules, the “Ruins of Argos” EP delivers its message via three imperative originals and two outstanding remixes made by none other than Colossio (SXDNS025) and Mishell (SXDNS228).

Before landing on ODD, Guadalajara-born Barcelona-based Ludviq had a solid string of works published on Altered Rhythm Experience, Kyma Komplex, Melomana, and his very own Bonkers – yeah, we are talking only about his 2024 output, have that in mind. The Russian duo Radial Gaze, on the other hand, are finally starting their release season after well-received appearances on Eskimo, Urge To Dance, NEIN, and Kinetika Music in 2023.

In turn, Colossio, the mastermind behind the remix premiered here, has also taken the busy road having already appeared on ISOLATE, Riotvan, Tour de Infinite, and RAVE EN TU IDIOMA since the beginning of the year. For his take on "Bitter Falcon", the rising Mexican superstar went B-A-N-G-E-R! His Latino influences are all over his interpretation and the result is a proper dance floor filler.

Daddy Squad’s latest offering is a slab of spoken word over chunky industrial beats. The original was a mind-bending trip, referencing Art of Noise, Yello, and Talking Heads. 

Renato Cohen twisted his remix into a vocoder italo-fest, riding high on the Beatport Indie Dance Chart (number 12 at the time of writing). 

While Berlin’s Franz Matthews remixed it into a DFA-style indie disco number.

Now Daddy Squad returns to the track and releases his club version, pumping up the BPM’s, adding a dirty bassline and stripping out anything unnecessary to get the body convulsing.

Daddy Squad’s aim was never to please everyone. But he intends to push the needle of club music and create interesting tracks that are at least memorable. He also intends to push his own creativity and that of his listeners. This one is sure to get the Shazam Army out in force.

The two friends, Bruce the bat person and Vector Malevolent, combine their talents to deliver an explosive EP released on the Epicure Records label on March 27th.

At the heart of this EP lies the original track "Mé en Té", a bold creation that defies the conventions of cosmic dark disco, inviting both dance and introspective journeys.

"Mé en Té" is much more than just a musical track; it's a sensory experience where every note, every beat, transports the listener into a fascinating parallel universe. The composition is filled with surprises, including the unexpected arrival of a trumpet solo that enriches the sonic texture and adds palpable warmth to the whole.

Alemao, with his cosmic and euphoric vision, chooses to remove the trumpet to create an even more immersive atmosphere.

Cosmosolar, on the other hand, opts for an ultra-club remix, skillfully blending hypnotic acid sounds for an unforgettable dance experience.

F.U.R.O. takes us on an epic journey, slower but equally captivating, evoking almost the epic battles of Final Fantasy game.

Giorgio Isaev, meanwhile, offers a dark and rave remix, evoking the feverish atmosphere of Berlin warehouses in the early hours.

Finally, Nick Hanzo closes the show with his signature rhythmic and transporting beats, adding an extra dose of raw energy and irresistible groove to this already impressive collection.
