The Madrid-based duo formed by Rama and Pedro, aka Teemon & Poomba, make their debut on Rotten City Files with the Stellar Rain EP, following their acclaimed work on labels like Música Cavernícola and Espacio Cielo. This release features two original tracks and two remixes by Psycho Weazel and Alvaro Cabana, offering an opportunity to revisit the "Euro Disco" roots and influences of the label.

"Meteoro Rain" is a track with an Italo vibe that, combined with Rosa's vocals, gives the song a retro character. A hopeful synth melody and modern production provide it with the necessary strength to shine on the dance floor without losing its nostalgic soul.

On the other hand, "Stellar Love" retains the Italo essence of the previous track but leans more into epic melodies and arpeggios. It shares the same nostalgic soul and power but is tailored for those who connect more with instrumental productions.

Label head honcho Alvaro Cabana reimagines the first track with a '90s groove, adding a faster tempo and a mood reminiscent of late-'90s Tech/Progressive House, with some nods to classic "Reese" productions (“Rock To the Beat”).

Closing the release, the Swiss duo Psycho Weazel (Exploited, Correspondant, Iptamenos) transforms Stellar Love into a peak-time bomb made for the dance floor, with a hypnotic, trance-like mood sure to delight the most devoted rave heads.

Berlin’s ever-evolving mobilee welcomes Captain Mustache and Third Culture for a bold new collaboration, Vertigo. This second single comes from Captain Mustache's new album Luz, which is a collaborative affair that redefines electro with a fresh retro-future lens.

French producer Captain Mustache bridges electro, techno and wave influences with releases on Kompakt, Permanent Vacation and Bedrock. His new album is a deep dive into a wide array of influences from the 80s and 90s and finds him exploring new styles that work at home, away from the club, as well as on the dance floor. Play Paul and Albuquerque-based rapper CS Rucker both feature as do his first two releases on Mobilee, La Vertu with Jean Brock and La Nuit with French techno legend POPOF.

Joining him on Vertigo is Beatport Indie chart toppers Third Culture, (aka Sian & Sacha Robotti), and their sounds stretch across global bass, techno, new wave and minimal.

Vertigo is a taut, snappy ride. Fizzing synth lines coil around jerking, EBM-informed rhythms, while cosmic pads hover above the groove like distant satellites caught in orbit. It's urgent but playful and primed for peak-time damage.

Captain Mustache’s signature synth work and Third Culture’s rhythmic punch blend seamlessly here on a sound that's at once retro-futuristic but also unmistakably now.

Captain Mustache is back with the third release on Mobilee from his Luz album, this time with Play Paul, the brother of Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo collaborating on one of the tracks, “The Pathetic”.

French producer Captain Mustache bridges electro, techno and wave influences. He has put out music on Permanent Vacation and Bedrock, while his last outing on Kompakt 'Everything' marked his biggest tune to date with top-tier DJ support and more than 300K plays. His upcoming album Luz is a deep dive into a wide array of influences from the 80s and 90s and finds him exploring new styles that work at home, away from the club, as well as on the dance floor.

The Pathetic is at the heart of the album and is a sleek, futuristic electro-techno sound with sultry indie vocals. Bright arps flash across the face of the tune as the drums surge on and the moody bass adds great weight.

Dancing Like Muffins keeps the pressure on with bright synth lines jangling above the well swung groove and some lush claps. Sparkling arps explode to bring more light and lift up to what is a majestic cosmic odyssey. Add in some vocoder vocals that bring a melancholic edge and you have a transcendent dance floor gem. 

These are two more irresistible tastes of Captain Mustache and his superb new album Luz.
